Concealed NationIt’s no surprise to us that crime is taking a nose-dive in the state of Illinois after they became the last state in the country to allow it’s citizens to carry concealed firearms. Numbers are now coming out that show just how much of an effect it’s had in it’s first few months.
“Just the idea that the criminals don’t know who’s armed and who isn’t has a deterrence effect,” said Richard Pearson, executive director of the Illinois State Rifle Association.
The number of robberies that have led to arrest in the city has dropped 20 percent from last year. Reports of burglary and vehicle thefts are also down over 20 percent. And finally in the first quarter, the city’s homicide rate was the lowest it’s been in 56 years.
These numbers are no coincidence.
As of this writing, the state has received over 80,000 applications for concealed carry permits and they have issued over 70,000 so far. Estimates point to 100,000 Illinois residents carrying firearms by the end of this year.
While the requirements are pretty strict, expensive ($600) and also require a 16-hour safety course, it’s well worth the citizens of Illinois to start protecting themselves. It’s time to get those crime stats down even further.
There was however, one questionable report of an armed citizen using a little too much force when he decided to chase after a robbery suspect and fire at him. Police, who were already in pursuit, had to take cover after hearing the shots fired because they were unsure of where they came from.
The man was not charged with any crime, but we’re always taught to keep our firearms holstered unless presented with a threat.
I live in a return fire area of 750,000 people. The law is simple here they shoot at you return fire, they are in your home shoot first ask why latter. They make it off your property your fault hold your fire. Murders this year so far. 1 2 neighbors gor into it and 1 shot the other. 2 a family matter in the family 1 shot. 3 a 2 year old girl was raped and killed. 4 the suspect was found beat to death in a ally. Police no leads in that case. Is America that safe and most all have a light weapon here. Full auto is legal as well here. All guns must be regestured with the police. No back ground check but you have a gun it must be regestered. Robberys or muggings are very rare. Home invation near unheard of, store theft rare unless lots of money or jewlery involved. Pickpockets. National sport. There are problems every were even here.
I like #4 the best. However registering a liberty tool in any way is unacceptable.

Those that are not cops or sheriffs or government traitor employee’s of some type are crazy to get a CCL because where do you think the first place they are going to look when gun confiscation begins? Those who say it can’t happen here are idiots! Everyone got a front row seat during Katrina and the Boston fiasco. We live in an undeclared occupied nation and the militant police prove that to those willing to open their eyes every single day. The one thing we can be sure of is that the situation will continue to tyranny until the citizens are willing to die fighting to take back what is rightfully theirs and end this BS!
