Dem Rep. Clyburn: ‘Not Too Sure’ the Bill of Rights Would Pass Today

Breitbart – by Trent Baker

Sunday on MSNBC, House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) wondered if the Bill of Rights would pass in today’s “climate.”

Clyburn said based off of conversations he has all the time, he believes there would be “strong support against the Bill of Rights” among people who would like to see many of the guarantees “uprooted.”

“I really believe sincerely – the climate that we’re in today – if the Bill of Rights, the first 10 amendments of the United States Constitution, were put before the public today, I’m not too sure that we would hold onto the Bill of Rights,” Clyburn declared during the interview with MSNBC. “Especially when I see what people are doing with the Second Amendment and no telling what they would do with the First Amendment.”

MSNBC’s David Gura responded, “You really believe that? That’s a startling statement. You believe that?”

“Absolutely,” Clyburn replied. “There would be a strong support against the Bill of Rights. Go through the Bill of Rights and I’ll tell you I run into people every day who would like to see so much of those guarantees uprooted.”

  1. And that’s why it’s a republic not a democracy. The only way to uproot those rights is cunning tyrannical subversion. Brought to you by the talmudic elite.

  2. ‘Go through the Bill of Rights and I’ll tell you I run into people every day who would like to see so much of those guarantees uprooted.” ……………………FCK YOU FEDERALIST!!!!!!!!!!!!

but on the bright side………..these scum bags are mentioning the Bill of Rights….WHY? I think it’s because they know that we are awakening !!!! yes, the goyim know

  3. “…..based off of conversations he has all the time…..”
“….I run into people every day who would like to see so much of those guarantees uprooted….”

Where’s the sense behind this article? It’s not even based on a BS poll, but instead it’s a useless opinion derived from Clyburn spending all his time with fellow commies.

Yes, I have no doubt that the average congressman sees the Bill of Rights as an obstacle to his tyranny, and that’s probably who Clyburn and his ilk spend much of their time conversing with, but it’s just another example of how these politicians are completely out of touch with the people they’re supposed to be representing.

Americans are presently arming themselves in record numbers to defend the Bill of Rights, and this idiot thinks it’s unpopular because his fellow gang of criminal tyrants and billionaires don’t like it.

    Who voted for this idiot?

  4. Elbridge Gerry listed his objections, most of them aimed at the powers of Congress. “He could however he said get over all these, if the rights of the Citizens were not rendered insecure,” and the gravest error here was “to establish a tribunal without juries, which will be a Star-chamber as to Civil cases.”

  5. “Clyburn said based off of conversations he has all the time, he believes there would be “strong support against the Bill of Rights” among people who would like to see many of the guarantees “uprooted.”

Care f$&kall what you BELIEVE, b#tch… ‘beliefs’ have nothing to do with OUR unalienable rights.

And WE would like to see you & your ilk firmly ROOTED (not uprooted).

    Underground. Permanently.

  6. All of the sudden like the words ‘Bill of Rights’ are being spoken. That god-damnable unchangeable absolute ratified law that is the absolute law of this land. Maybe they want to have a conversation about it. Maybe it is something we need to talk about.
It has been infringed beyond belief and they have no answer for the charges against them. They are absolutely 110% guilty and they know it. It has always been their intention to get rid of our Bill of Rights and subjugate us.
They are feeling the heat. Time to throw some more wood on the fire. The truth cannot be stopped because the truth is real and the lie has always been an illusion.
The Bill of Rights is absolute ratified law and it is our solemn duty to those who died to give it to us and our progeny to enforce it with an attitude of zero tolerance and an absolute reckoning over justice denied for more than a hundred years.
The Bill of Rights is the Republic and the individual free sovereign national is the master of the Republic on an even keel with the crowned heads of Europe.
    Prosecute the law.

    1. YES!!!! Offering “no quarter” to the guilty traitors responsible is heartbreaking to them for so many reasons. ALWAYS spot on, Henry! They have afforded US NONE, EVER, and only done MORE to US when WE have sought redress. WE simply see how it is and how it must be, and it is because of their own design and choosing.
