German Homeschoolers Reunited with Children

CBN News

The German homeschooling parents whose children were taken away by the state now say they’ll send their children to a state-approved school.

Two weeks ago, German authorities raided the home of Dirk and Petra Wunderlich and took their children into custody because they insisted on home schooling their children.

Is this a victory now that the children have to go to public school? Mike Donnelly, director of international relations at Homeschool Legal Defense Association, answers this and more on CBN Newswatch, Sept. 19.

In Germany, the law mandates that children must attend a public school.

The Wunderlich’s hope their decision will move the authorities to return their children to their home.

“While we do not agree that we should be forced to send our children to school…we feel we have no choice but to agree to the local authority’s wishes and plan to comply and will work with them as we send our children to school,” Dirk told the Homeschool Legal Defense Association.

“What is most important to us is to have our children back home,” he said.

This is just sad. Capitulation is now the order of the day.

Hopefully they’ll get their kids back, and then at least they can instruct them to not pay any attention to the indoctrination agenda forced on them, and still school them properly at home after ‘school’ hours.
