A senior Iranian lawmaker says Tel Aviv’s threat to attack Iran is a political bluff, stressing that the Israeli regime does not have the capability to strike Iran.
Addressing the United Nations General Assembly session on Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened unilateral military action against Iran to dismantle the Islamic Republic’s civilian nuclear facilities.
He repeated his baseless accusation that Tehran is seeking to develop nuclear weapons, saying, “If Israel is forced to stand alone, Israel will stand alone.”
“Such remarks are nothing more than a political bluff, and the [Israeli] regime well knows that it doesn’t have the guts and capability to do it (attack Iran),” said Hossein Sobhani-Nia, who sits on the Presiding Board of Iran’s Majlis.
“Netanyahu’s bluffing at the United Nations about Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities was aimed at changing the positive atmosphere created in the media by the Iranian delegation,” Sobhani-Nia said, referring to the recent diplomatic drive by Iran at the 68th Session of the UN General Assembly.
The Iranian legislator noted that the Israeli prime minister rushed to the UN to change the positive media climate.
On Friday, Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan dismissed Israel’s warmongering threats against the Islamic Republic, saying the Israeli regime is “too weak to dare make such a brazen move.”
“Netanyahu’s recent aggressive reaction and warmongering remarks show the Islamic Republic of Iran’s political success and influence in the international arena,” Dehqan said.
The US, Israel, and some of their allies have repeatedly accused Iran of pursuing non-civilian objectives in its nuclear energy program.
Tehran has categorically rejected the allegation, arguing that as a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it is entitled to develop nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

Israel has the ability to destroy the entire planet with their nukes, and Netanyahu’s claim which states that “If Israel is forced to stand alone, Israel will stand alone”, should be interpreted to mean “If Israel is forced to stand alone, Israel will send in American troops”.
Don’t expect any Israeli soldiers to even risk breaking a fingernail in war. The IDF soldiers strut around with big guns for shooting at Palestinian kids, but if any real war breaks out, the chosen will choose someone else, namely the U.S. military, to do their fighting for them.
Exactly, JR.
Israhell will NEVER resort to fighting a conventional war. They’re FAR too cowardly for that to happen.
Unfortunately, they ARE just sh#thouse-rat crazy enough to send their entire nuclear arsenal at any and all targets in the event they are abandoned by the so-called U.S. ‘government’, and looking to be annihilated by their (numerous) enemies.
Out of sheer spite, of course, and hang the consequences.
