Breitbart – by Charlie Spiering
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is asking New Yorkers to put aside political debates, protests about police fairness and anger directed at political figures for now.
“I think it’s important that regardless of people’s viewpoints that everyone recognizes the time to step back and just focus on these families,” said de Blasio during a speech at the Police Athletic League Luncheon in New York City on Monday afternoon.
“I think it’s a time for everyone to put aside political debates, put aside protests, put aside all of the things that we will talk about in due time,” he added. Two officers were murdered in cold blood on Saturday.
De Balsio acknowledged the pain and difficulty of trying to understand why a person would kill two members of the police
force.
“We have to understand that the attack on them was an attack of all of us, it was an attack on our democracy, it was an attack on our values, it was an attack on every single New Yorker,” he said. “We have to see it as such.”
De Blasio also reminded the audience that it was time for New Yorkers to unite behind the two families who were suffering the loss of their loved ones.
“These families are now our families,” he said, “And we will stand by them.”
Think about it. You had the cops turn there back on the Mayor who is over the Cheif of Police. Or the Big Boss. That is political and if the Mayor don’t do someting about it then we all know who is in charge of New York City. And it is not the elected people it is there police who are in control. Lucky Germany at least they had Hittler to keep the police under control. Don’t look like New Yorkers have that king of good luck.
seems to me when you ask people to risk their lives to protect yours they should have a little pull and they should also expect a little respect for doing so. There are good and bad in every profession whether it be law enforcement or bartender or any other list of people. Cops do more good things than bad but they don’t get the publicity for that. Only when they screw up does it make front page news. Maybe if they all took a week off nationwide people, including that A-hold Big Bird DiBlasio would see their value.
What? Pigs have a value? Maybe you ought to walk up to one and say hi to one of them psychos and see how far that gets you before they put the cuffs on you for disturbing them and their jelly donuts.
And in case you’re wondering, I’m not sticking up for DiBlasio. Both him and the entire NYPD can all go to Hell as far as I’m concerned.
Kelly Thomas, James Boyd, Miriam Carey, Luis Rodriguez, Samantha Ramsey, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, these are just a few caught on video, murders of thousands of our people by this communist reign of terror police state.
All power in the United States is inherent in we the people. Never did we give our employees the power to create laws and policing agencies to police our lives at our servants’ discretion. This police state is a running violation of our Bill of Rights and even those ‘good cops’ you speak of are committing millions of infringements every day, if you are lucky enough to just get your rights violated instead of being murdered.
If there was one honest cop he would have to be arresting the rest and seeing as how that isn’t happening, then there are no honest cops. And as I said, there is zero authority for their existence and zero authority for our employees to create power that makes us subservient to them.
What rock have you been living under?
“Maybe if they all took a week off nationwide people, including that A-hold Big Bird DiBlasio would see their value.”
If they took off a week, there would be 21 less murdered citizens. Cops murder 3 of us a day.
I would love to see the police take a week off…In fact, they can take the year off ….WITH PAY!!! 🙂
I dont need the police, and let congress/senate have the year off too..and obama should go on a golfing tour. Maybe him and bono can do a golf/music gig…Just go away!!!!
If you JeanG need the police I wonder why you are even viewing this website. May I refer you to media matters or whatever that website is.
Sorry Henry, I should be more eloquent, but, I hope you understand.
Seems to me all of you are well versed in facts and figures…How many lives have been saved by police vs. how many lost??? I am on this site because I believe most of what is posted has value but I really get tired of the “group” bashing. You all are no different than those you condemn. If a person has an opinion different than yours you go into attack mode and name calling. That is exactly the mentality that creates most of the problems. Everyone wants it their way. Defend yourselves, sure. But to just bash because of a different opinion simply shows a lack of intelligence. What ever happened to having a civil conversation?
