  1. I had a friend who convinced her daughter who is wheelchair bound that she would never be able to learn to drive. Her reasoning was she never learned to drive using her feet and it would be more difficult or impossible for her to learn to drive using hand controls. I never could convince either the girl or her parents that it would be much easier for her to learn, because she would only learn by using hand controls not her feet, she would not have to retrain her mind. The girl is a collage graduate, never held a job since graduating 5 years ago because she has no transportation. She is content getting by with her parents SSI Disability payment and Medicade. It has really bothered me over the years at how co-dependent this girl has become over her parents not encouraging her to do things, they do everything, for the most part, for her. She is a home body unless someone is available to take her with them. It is very sad. I offered to take her to specialized driver training and I had also had worked with the instructor when I worked years ago. I knew he was an excellent instructor. Still she sits at home waiting on people to load her, then load her wheelchair, unload and help her get in it. Where will she end up when her parents or other family members are tired or unable to be her wheels? It is a very sad situation.

  2. Wow, South Carolina, Black, Disabled and No Arms. And no holding him back achieving his goals.

This must really irritate the Black Lives Matter thugs… He should be worse off then them. Then again, he can’t loot, steal or rob… He can’t put his hands on the wheel, or hold a gun towards a cop….
So he does have to work for a living, and seems to be doing very well.

    Respect Dude.
