Shelter in place issued after explosions, fire at Conroe plant

CONROE, Texas — A series of explosions triggered a huge 3-alarm fire at the DrillChem plant in Conroe Friday afternoon.

The first explosion was felt around 4:40 p.m. at the plant on Loop 336 near Hwy 105, according to Conroe police.

A shelter in place has been issued for anyone within a two-mile radius of the plant. Firefighters also advised residents to turn off their air conditioners and keep doors and windows closed.

There’s no word of injuries.

Police shut down nearby roads and South Loop 336 was closed, according to Montgomery County Fire Marshal Jimmy Williams.

More than 50 firefighters were on the scene, along with a Hazmat team from The Woodlands.

They didn’t start putting foam on the flames until just before 6 p.m.

Williams said they were likely letting the fire burn down in case hazardous chemicals or materials were involved.

“Sometimes the best plan of attack may be not any attack at all,” Williams said. “They don’t want to do anything to endanger firefighters.”

The fire appeared to be under control by 6:15 p.m.

DrillChem is an oil industry supply company that creates sealants, shale inhibitors and lubricants, according to their website.

  1. “Williams said they were likely letting the fire burn down in case hazardous chemicals or materials were involved.”

Better to let them pollute the atmosphere.

  2. Shelter in place? That kinda interferes with my rights to travel freely, don’t it? Where is the Constitutional authority to tell a private citizen to stay put? Why on earth would anybody listen to the stupid cops anyway? They don’t know enough to go out and earn a honest living producing something of value. They don’t know the difference between a producer and a parasite.

  3. “A shelter in place has been issued for anyone within a two-mile radius of the plant.”

Exactly who has the authority to “issue a shelter in place”?? Where is the law that allows a pig to declare that everyone has to stay in their houses?

Sorry, pig-boy. I don’t “shelter in place”, and you can’t tell me to stay in my house against my will. I knew this nonsense would become common after it was first used in Boston, and now they just issue “shelter in place” orders that sound a lot like prison lock-downs (which have already moved to the school system) whenever they think the peasants might get in their way.

You don’t have to see anything. The Jew-TV will give you all the lying “news” you need to know.
