My how the Obama administration has successfully counted on the short memory and fury of the American sheeple. Just over one year ago this month, the conservative media and the entire blogosphere was screaming bloody murder about that video and the extravagant waste of taxpayer dollars by bureaucrats partying at five star resorts enjoying champagne, expensive meals, and flying first class sometimes several times per year.
The consequences for the Obama administration in November of 2012?
He easily won re-election thanks to a pathetically weak campaign run by men who wished to return to their roles as overspending extravagant government bureaucrats under a Republican President.
Thankfully for the American people and those taxpayers concerned about the waste an investigation was launched by America’s modern version of Dick Tracy, Attorney General Eric Holder and the U.S. Department of Justice:
From the Washington Post, April 13, 2012:
GSA Las Vegas spending scandal: Inspector general refers case to Justice for possible investigation
Whew. Good news.
The Attorney General was assigned the case and his investigators went right to work on it, just like they did when they investigated themselves over the Fast and Furious gunrunning scandal.
As of May 31, 2013 the number of convictions, arrests, arraignments, and prosecutions started by the United States Department of Justice for violations of Federal law regarding fraud and misuse of public money:
0.00
That would match the number of Wall Street CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and board members he promised to investigate, arrest, and convict for the mortgage backed security fraud which helped exacerbate the 2007-2009 economic collapse. It also matches the number of convictions, etc. for the Fast and Furious scandal which continues to reverberate within the conservative blogosphere even if Congressman Issa could care less about finishing the job.
The GSA scandal is gone and yes, forgotten. Fox News which played the music videos for weeks and presented Republican politicians puffing out their chests and promising deep investigations into this abuse is now focusing on Scandalmania 2013 while everything that has occurred within the regime since 2009 is bypassed or barely mentioned. As the IRS, AP/James Rosen, Benghazi, EPA, etc. investigations move forward, I simply remind everyone of the horrid job done by the media and the excellent covering up of the turd in the sandbox by the Department of Justice.
Thus begging the question of the day:
Should anyone expect a different result from the Republican cowards and mainstream media, including Fox News, about any scandal in D.C.?

Am I to take this to mean that the author actually thinks that Mitts would have been a better choice?
Very likely we’d already be embroiled in WWlll had he been ‘elected’ (for lack of a better word).
