Ugrent: Bill H.R.748, Call 18 to 24 Year Olds Into Forced Military Selective Service

Before It’s News – by Josey Wales

The people of this country need to Unite and be heard. Would you like for your sons and daughters to be forced into Military Selective Service? Is this what Obama was referring to when he told us he would form a  “citizen army”.?

H.R.748- To require All persons in the United States, ages 18 to 24 years old, to perform national service, either as a member of the uniformed services or as civilian service in a Federal, State, or local government program or with a community-based agency or community-based entity, to authorize the induction of persons in the uniformed services during wartime to meet end-strength requirements of the uniformed services, to provide for the registration of women under the Military Selective Service Act, and for other purposes.

Call you congressmen and tell them you do not approve of bill H.R.748.

H.R. 748 was introduced on Feb. 14, 2013 and was referred to the House Armed Services Committee the same day. The chair of the committeeRep. Buck McKeon (R-CA) will determine whether the bill will move past the committee stage. Opponents and of H.R. 748 are being encouraged to call Rep. McKeon and tell him how they feel about the bill, (202) 225-1956, (661) 274-9688, (661) 254-2111. They are also encouraged to send him tweets and post on his Facebook page. Many are also contacting Rep. Rangel by calling him, (202) 225-4365, tweeting him, and posting on his Facebook page.

Is President Barack Obama’s idea for a “Civilian National Security Force” dangerous?  Could this be danderous not only America but the entire world?  Should we stand up to stop this?

  1. Maybe people will pay attention now? Does this also mean that 18 is the new 21? (Ironic since this morning I saw somewhere out there on the web that 75 is the new 30) I can think of a few things I would be pressing for if I were 18 right now. Old enough to die, old enough to drink comes to mind.

The bad part of this is that ya end up with bad people (not that people are bad) who do not want to be there. Ya end up with people who obey orders blindly, are gang members, are drug users, not everyone, some people fit in sure. but its like sifting through sand to get the gold out, all the waste, and disregarded respect goes somewhere, wrecking something else, for someone else, somewhere else.

Volunteer military is the way to go.
Draft is insanity, desperation of a government in over their head.

    1. According to our constitution a standing army is not allowed for longer than 2 yrs,we have no business meddleing in the business of other nations for the business interest(same that run our gubberment) for nothing more than profit. Can you just imagine if all the wealth that has been wasted on war death and destruction had been used for the benefit of man,The bankers finance both sides, the only thing america should fear is apathy.

      1. This bill is LONG overdue and should have been passed immediately after 911. Let those who cheer for the wars go die in them.

  2. The often over looked question is what, or who, is the Armed Services?. Is it the military?. The answer is shocking. In 1949, Congress created an agency to mimic the role of the Military, called the Armed Services. In 1953, they changed the named to Armed Forces, men across the country were induced to go fight, and die in an undeclared war in Korea, and later Viet Nam. So who is the Armed Services?, it’s the Commodity Credit Corporation. (see below). Furthermore, Constitutionally, there is no such Armed Forces Committee in Congress, what Congress creates, they have to oversee it by a legislative body.
Only Congress can declare war, the President is then Commander in Chief, and Congress commands the military through the President.
At the undeclared war in Iraq, then President Bush ordered the Armed Services to Iraq, not the Military, our men in the military were deceived into going to war. The results are, our Military can return home.
National Military Establishment changed to Department of Defense by act Aug. 10, 1949.
The Department of War was designated the Department of the Army and the title of the Secretary of War was changed to Secretary of the Army by section 205(a) of act July 26, 1947, ch. 343, title II, 61 Stat. 501. Section 205(a) of act July 26, 1947, was repealed by section 53 of act Aug. 10, 1956, ch. 1041, 70A Stat. 641. Section 1 of act Aug. 10, 1956, enacted “Title 10, Armed Forces” which in sections 3011 to 3013 continued the military Department of the Army under the administrative supervision of a Secretary of the Army.

  3. Why even bother crying and whining for justice in this nation? The federal government is completely rogue and a criminal organization. I don’t know about you, but when I’m attacked by criminals I shoot them. I’ll do the same to any federal criminal peices of sh*t who attempt to kid nap my children and force them into servitude. Our response to unlawful federal tyrany should always be fire and don’t stop until they all stop moving. I’m done negotiating for our liberty.

  4. I want to see these politicions kids – especialy the Obama and Romney kids at the front of the line to enlist and be right there with the rest of the guys that they want to go play war. If they cannot send their kids then why should any one else.

  5. First, Kerry says the U.S. will be ready to go to war against Iran beginning in June, then the so-called ‘government’ wants to take over the 401Ks (trillions, war funds?), and now they want to start conscripting the youth of this country again (soldiers to fight the war in Iran).

Does anyone else see a pattern here besides me?
