Virginia School Bans Christmas Carols Mentioning ‘Jesus’

Breitbart – by Thomas D Williams, PhD

To celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ, the Robious Middle School in Midlothian, Virginia, has banned any Christmas carols that mention the name of Jesus.

School administrators reportedly explained they had made the decision to “avoid singing anything of a direct sacred nature” in order to be “more sensitive to the increasing diverse population at the school.”

David Allen, the father of a student at Robious Middle School, has expressed his concernover the exclusion of Jesus from Christmas songs to be performed at school Christmas concerts.

Allen said students were forbidden from singing a particular carol “because the word Jesus was in there and apparently someone assumed it was of a sacred nature.”

According to Allen, it seems as if “everywhere you look everyone’s afraid of stepping on someone’s toes or everything is being so sensitive.”

In an email exchange with Allen, the school’s choir director said that the Jesus ban stems from problems experienced by students.

“We had a few students who weren’t comfortable singing a piece I have done many times in the past, but it is of a sacred nature and does mention Jesus,” the choir director wrote.

While this exchange was going on, Allen said he had received a “diversity notice” from the school explaining their commitment to diversity and inclusion, which struck him as paradoxical.

“I’m trying to rationalize how you can encourage diversity and yet be exclusionary in one specific area,” Allen remarked.

Attorney Michael Berry of First Liberty Institute wrote a letter to the Chesterfield County School District, of which Robious Middle School is a part, explaining that that, legally, public schools have no reason to ban Jesus from Christmas concerts or other celebrations.

“Federal courts have upheld the constitutionality of public school holiday programs that include the use of religious music, art, or drama,” Berry wrote, “so long as the material is presented in an objective manner ‘as a traditional part of the cultural and religious heritage of the particular holiday.’”

There has been considerable controversy in past years regarding the placement of Christmas nativity scenes, the use of religious imagery, and even the appropriate choice of Christmas greetings.

As part of his campaign for the presidency, Donald Trump told voters that he would bring back “Merry Christmas” in place of the more generic “Happy Holidays.”

“So when I started 18 months ago, I told my first crowd in Wisconsin that we are going to come back here someday and we are going to say merry Christmas again,” Trump told crowds in Wisconsin a month after his election. “Merry Christmas — so, merry Christmas everyone.”

At last year’s White House tree-lighting ceremony, Mr. Trump went further still, referencing the birth of Jesus Christ and his profound impact on human history.

“The Christmas Story begins 2,000 years ago with a mother, a father, their baby son and the most extraordinary gift of all—the gift of God’s love for all of humanity,” Trump tweeted. “Whatever our beliefs, we know that the birth of Jesus Christ and the story of his life…”

“Melania and I are full of joy at the start of this very blessed season,” Trump said, “the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”

In 2016, a Washington DC-based research group found that Democrats overwhelmingly favor the more politically correct expressions of “Happy Holidays” or “Seasons Greetings” over the religiously charged “Merry Christmas” that acknowledges the reason for the festivities.

The group found that Democrats oppose ‘Merry Christmas’ more than 2-1 over Republicans

  1. More garbage from the public cess pools. No surprise! The idiots that still ship their progeny off to these psych wards deserve everything these commies lay down.

  2. It is because Jesus is a matter of faith and government schools (at least pretend to) teach reason. Oh, wait! It’s a violation of the separation of church and state. Christians, and other faithists, can’t handle that. If the shoe fits…

    1. Our schools are supposed to be private and if this corporation had not taken over our Republic and seized all of our assets, and if the mainstream churches had not joined with the government and that illegal corporation, the schools would be private.
However, these so called public institutions cannot run our lives, no more than the corporate government itself.
Faith, or the lack thereof, is a part of being an individual, and that 1st Article also says the free exercise thereof.
If the Christian folk in a school want to sing Christmas carols, it is perfectly within the Bill of Rights, in fact the school would be out of line otherwise and in violation of the 1st Article.
Though the state already had done it a long time ago, the state has no control over religion, but as these institutions called schools do exist, they must provide the public square where all are free to exercise their conscience. As long as the singing of Christmas carols is a free choice, that free choice cannot be taken away in any building or institution belonging in reality to the individual free sovereign.
When these sick bastards want to publicly finance castration of twelve year olds, it would seem that is just okay with everybody, but the singing of Christmas carols?, oh we just can’t have it.
The fact is, public schools have to go, along with the 14th Amendment, and once our wealth is back in our hands, Christian folk will be able to purchase privately the schools they want and choose privately what they want their children to learn. And if they want to have prayer every day before class and celebrate Christmas, it is really none of anybody’s goddamn business.
You think because you pay for the fraud that created this f-king monster, which has no authority over any of us, you can jump in and try to piss on another person’s belief. Well none of this government that is running right now has any authority over the people, this way or that. So we revert back to the Bill of Rights and if people want to sing Christmas carols, until you fix the apparatus which you actually like when it pushes your own agenda, it really is none of your goddamn business.
Don’t come into the Trenches thinking you are going to f-k with the Christian folk here, because you are not. You want to attack somebody, attack the f-king corporation that has spent the wealth of this country trying to turn our people into a bunch of immoral pedophilic freaks. You know, go after some real bad guys. You are not going to bitch about one little pet peeve that you don’t have the slightest understanding of.
Though I do not profess myself the faith, Christmas is absolutely a large part of the heritage of my country that you communists want to tear down as you destroy all morality. In short, f-k you and Merry Christmas.

  3. Jesus and Harvey Weinstein sauntered up to a bar.

After a few drinks being a dick Harvey says. .

I’m hearing that innocent children that want to sing Christmas carols saying your name is now against the law..

    Jesus replied. ..

    Relax Harvey… patience. .

I just can’t upset myself with those trivial circumstances.

Because I have all of your secret dik pics for the last 20 years.

    Oh….

And a happy new year.. !!!
