EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn — A woman was shot in the hip near a Brooklyn baseball field Sunday night, police said.
The woman was shot around 8 p.m. near Breukelen Fields in her hip, police said. She was getting out of her car when the bullet went through the window of the car and hit her.
Witnesses say people went running for cover when the shot rang out.
The park was packed with people having a barbecue at the time of the shooting.
No identifying information is available for the victim. No arrests have been made.
