WASHINGTON — The Pentagon is fortifying bases in the Pacific and looking to revive World War II-era air bases as part of an effort to survive a Chinese missile attack that could wipe out critical installations on Okinawa and elsewhere, military records, interviews and congressional testimony show.

The strategy indicates the evolution of the administration’s shift toward Asia, which includes the creation of a growing base in northern Australia. PESHAWAR, PAKISTAN –  Pakistani police prevented activists who were protesting U.S. drone strikes from blocking trucks carrying NATO troop supplies to and from neighboring Afghanistan on Monday.

All Chicago area residents were summoned to Chicago to “come see Rahm Emanuel and a community of global leaders, innovators  and creative minds as they shape the ideas that are shaping the world.”

Parents of a sixth grade student at the Milam Elementary School in Tupelo, Mississippi were shocked when their daughter brought home a political beliefs worksheet that teachers asked students to fill out.
