A Pentagon report, revealed by The New York Times over the weekend, showed that the American troops working alongside Iraqi forces were at risk of harm from Sunni extremists who had infiltrated the Iraqi Army (and, perhaps, from the pro-Iranian Shiite militias that effectively are the Army.) On Monday, Rear Adm. John Kirby told reporters that “it would be imprudent, irresponsible not to think about the insider threat.” The threat is real in Afghanistan as well where insider threats, so-called “green-on-blue” attacks, have killed several U.S.troops in recent years.   Continue reading “Could a Brain Scan Protect U.S. Troops from Insider Attacks?”

Reno, Nevada ( CNN ) – Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie says his department will no longer hold illegal immigrants unless the federal government has a warrant. The department says the policy change is because of recent court decisions which have questioned the hold process by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

By some estimates, there are thousands of undocumented immigrants living in the Las Vegas valley. Metro Police has followed suit with cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, and Philadelphia that have all said they will no longer honor ICE immigration holds without a warrant.   Continue reading “Nevada Sheriff Vows To No Longer Hold Illegal Immigrants Without Warrant”

They can range from a svelte 100 pounds to several thousand. They can be snub-nosed, bullet shaped brutes that can dive six miles deep or buoyancy-propelled machines that can gracefully glide for several months at a time. And they can perform a myriad of tasks ranging from tracking pollution to mapping terrain for oil and gas exploration.

They are autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), the aquatic answer to the airborne drones that track terrorists in Yemen and, if Amazon has its way, could be delivering DVDs and dog food to your back patio.   Continue reading “Military ramps up use of underwater drones. What do they do?”

“Countless people … will hate the new world order … and will die protesting against it.” H.G. Wells, The New World Order (1940)

Throughout our lives and throughout our culture, we are conditioned to rally around concepts of false division. We are led to believe that Democrats and Republicans are separate and opposing parties, yet they are actually two branches of the same political-control mechanism. We are led to believe that two nations such as the United States and Russia are geopolitical enemies, when, in fact, they are two puppet governments under the dominance of the same international financiers. Finally, we are told that the international bankers themselves are somehow separated by borders and philosophies, when the reality is all central banks answer to a singular authority: the Bank Of International Settlements (BIS).   Continue reading “The Reasons We Fight The New World Order”

TEL AVIV — A senior Israeli military official said Wednesday the likelihood of a ground invasion of the Gaza Strip was “very high,” and that “if you want to efficiently fight terrorism you must be present, boots on the ground.”

The official, who has been briefing Israeli ministers who make strategic decisions, said his assessment was based on “the signals I get” and the diminishing returns of aerial bombardment after nine days. He said an Israeli takeover of Gaza is “not a huge challenge,” estimating it would take “a matter of days or weeks,” but that preventing a more dangerous devolution in the coastal enclave would require an occupation “of many months.”   Continue reading “Gaza Invasion Is Likely, Israeli Official Says”

Dozens of protesters on both sides of the immigration debate showed up in a small town near Tucson on Tuesday after the sheriff said the federal government plans to transport about 40 immigrant children to an academy for troubled youths.

The rallies demonstrated the deep divide of the immigration debate. One group waved American flags, held signs that read “Return to Sender” and “Go home non-Yankees” and said they would block a bus that was supposed to arrive with immigrant children aboard. A few miles up the road, about 50 pro-immigrant supporters held welcome signs with drawings of hearts. The dueling groups each had about 50 people.   Continue reading “Arizona Protesters Hope to Stop Immigrant Transfer”
