On Thursday, 13 people were shot and injured in a park in Chicago. The shootings were carried out by an “assault style rifle” with a high-capacity magazine, both of which are already banned in the city of Chicago. Nevertheless, Chicago Police Superintendent Garry F. McCarthy has called for a nationwide ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.
“Illegal guns drive violence. Military-type weapons, like the one we believe to have been used in this shooting, belong on a battlefield, not on a street or in a corner or in a park.”
Chicago was named the murder capital of the United States by the FBI on Thursday, and has had more homicides this month than several states yearly totalfor 2011.
So if he says that those assault rifles belong on the battle feild then is he also sayin` that there is no place for these kind of weapons in the police dept.s and swat team dept.s? If he is not sayin` that then he is sayin` that america is a battle feild and we are at war and as always is the case when at war you always try to disarm, disable, and capture/destroy the enemy. As we all know many times over how the police and the govt. has been trying to disarm, disable, and capture the people, and yes that apparently is exactly what their job description is.
What e is saying is we are now officially in a battle for our Constitutional Republic,

Apparently the fact that we took to the stores and bought up damn near every firearm, magazine, and all the ammunition we could get our hands on wasn’t enough of a message. That we joined the NRA (and various other pro-2nd Amendment organizations) in countless droves wasn’t enough of a message. That we deluged our representatives at all levels of government with countless voices saying “no, we don’t want gun control” wasn’t enough of a message. That numerous sheriffs across the country said “no, we won’t comply with Federal gun control laws” wasn’t enough of a message. That some states actually passed legislation which would criminalize Federal gun control measures wasn’t enough of a message. That Colorado actually recalled Senators over gun-control legislation wasn’t enough of a message.
You have to wonder what’s going on when “the government” doesn’t seem to understand how to take “NO” for an answer.
A lie will always catch up with the lier sooner or later SCV Tennessean, and the govt. lies are caching up with them. If they could confiscate all guns they would so they can carry out their devious/sneaky plans like what are on the Georgia Guide Stones.
After reading this article, I checked on my weapons and Mags to make sure none of them took a flight to Chicago… I did not fly to Chicago. So this Police Sup must be a idiot to think any of my weapons or mags has anything to do with his Cities Murder . Rate, or he is looking for a job in the Obama admin….

This coming from the moron whose city had the highest murder rate (due SOLELY to some of the strictest gun laws) in the country the last two years running – over 500. THIS is who’s telling the rest of us that we need MORE gun laws to reduce ‘gun violence’.

Sounds to me like Chicago’s streets are a battlefield… and that is where assault/defense weapons belong(so they say). So, if they quit infringing on the second amendment and give back to their people their right to own guns their problems would be solved. The people of Chicago have a much needed job to do and it would make America a much better place. It’s a great place to start, eh?
While he is at it maybe a law passed that would ban multiple shooters on the bad side, that is what seems to do the most harm. Yeah he needs to push for no more than one person at a time killing people, then he would be making a dent in all those gangs they have there. Morons can’t help but get in front of a camera and try to sound important.
