DHS/Police say criminals drive cars that’s why they’re using a new infrared license plate scanning system

A new infrared police license plate reader system called the Data Driver Approach to Crime and Traffic Safety (DDCAT) can spy on nearly a million license plates in a two-month span. The above video shows DDCAT’s in use in Idaho

DDCAT’s are being used by police across the country, they’re in NJ, NY, Boston and California to name a few.

DDACT’s are basically $11,0000 fortune telling machines that analyze crimes and PREDICT where future crimes will take place!

If you guessed DHS is behind this latest license plate spying program, give yourself a gold star!

“Data-Driven Approaches to Crime and Traffic Safety (DDACTS) is a law enforcement operational model supported by a partnership among the Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and two agencies of the Department of Justice: the Bureau of Justice Assistance and the National Institute of Justice.”

According to the DDACT’s brochure the NHTSA, BJA, and NIJ are collaborating with numerous partners to promote and support DDACT’s:

  1. American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators;
  2. American Probation and Parole Association;
  3. Federal Highway Administration;
  4. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration;
  5. Governors Highway Safety Association;
  6. International Association of Chiefs of Police;
  7. National Criminal Justice Association;
  8. National District Attorneys Association;
  9. National Liquor Law Enforcement Association;
  10. National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives; and
  11. National Sheriffs’ Association.

DDACT’s equipped police cars use three high-resolution digital cameras which point forward and cover both sides of the vehicle. Each police car is equipped with infrared lighting which enables them to see in the dark. GPS is integrated into the system, and the digitized pictures of license plates are captured to a laptop.

DDACT’s equipped police cars record every vehicle within their proximity day or night!

When police officers begin their shift, they download the latest database of wanted vehicles, fugitive warrants, suspended or revoked drivers licenses, state and federal criminal databases, stolen cars, and other information on bad guys. These files are updated every four hours and allow the integration of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) cameras with criminal indices at the local, state, and national level for instant hits on cars.

The DDACT’s system in effect preselects targets of opportunity.

DDACT’s allowed Denver police to spy on 835,000 license plate images in a span of only two months!

Below, Forbes reporter Marc Tobias discusses DDACT’s with Denver police Commander Paul Pazen:

Less than 45 seconds into the video Commander Pazen claims police are spying on motorists because criminals typically use cars when committing crimes. DDACT’s captures information about every vehicle and information about innocent car owners.

Pazen sounds like a DHS puppet spewing what’s on the NHTSA’s website:

“DDACTS integrates location-based crime and traffic crash data to determine the most effective methods for deploying law enforcement and other resources. Drawing on the deterrent value of highly visible traffic enforcement and the knowledge that crimes often involve motor vehicles, the goal of DDACTS is to reduce crime, crashes, and traffic violations across the country.

There it is in black & white, taxpayers are spending $11k per police vehicle so police can look for traffic violators! Ask yourself a question if you spent $11k per car how can ‘they’ [law enforcement] hope to recoup their expenses? They’ll affix them to intersections and police cars and predict when you’ll commit a traffic violation.

To find out more about how police pay for all of this spying software read: “America’s hidden secret: state and city budgets rely on ticket & court revenue.”

Welcome to American profiteering I mean policing, where your next violation WILL cost you!

  1. What a gaggle of COMMUNISTS!!!! Take a good look folks? You are looking at the face of your enemy. They are not caring and concerned people who what the serve and protect. These are the new COMMISSARS with a new face.

  2. I tried to listen to about the 1 minute mark and I was unable to tolerate the cop mentality gig to continue. Peace Officers my a$$!

  3. And that’s also why they spy on our phones & email: criminals ALSO use phones & email.

    How about this cliche trotted out for exactly this purpose, probably by the CIA & media: “IF YOU AREN’T DOING ANYTHING WRONG, YOU SHOULDN’T MIND THE GOVERNMENT SPYING ON YOU”.

  4. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! ROLMFAO!!!

    Criminals do a lot of other things that normal people do. They also ride bicycles, too. You gonna make people have bicycle plates and scan those, too?

    The stupidity is beyond stupidity.
