Tonight at 10 p.m. ET on NBC an interview with Edward Snowden will be aired, his first with any US television station.

In the exclusive interview with NBC news anchor Brian Williams, Snowden blamed the State Department for isolating him in Russia and announced he was not a low-level systems administrator as the U.S. government has repeated again and again…

What they are trying to do is that they are trying to use one position to distract from the totality of my experience, which is: I’ve worked for the Central Intelligence Agency – undercover, overseas, I’ve worked for the National Security Agency – undercover, overseas, and I’ve worked for the Defense Intelligence Agency as a lecturer at the joint counter-intelligence training,” Snowden reveals tonight in the interview.

The reality is I never intended to end up in Russia. I had a flight booked to Cuba onwards to Latin America and I was stopped because the United States government decided to revoke my passport and trap me in Moscow Airport… So when people ask why are you in Russia, I say, please ask the State Department.”

John Kerry immediately shot back in an interview:

For a supposedly smart guy, that’s a pretty dumb answer, frankly… If Mr. Snowden wants to come back to the United States today, we’ll have him on a flight today.”

Mr. Kerry… you must not be aware of the war on whistleblowers President Obama has been waging. The network which aired the interview knows what I am talking about.

The Obama administration’s been extremely aggressive in trying to root out whistleblowers within the government,” explains NBC News investigative reporter Michael Isikoff.

What do other government whistleblowers think?

It’s extremely dangerous in America right now to be right as a whistleblower when the government is so wrong. Speaking truth to power is now a criminal act,” – NSA whistleblower Thomas Drake

John Kiriakou, an ex-CIA officer who sent classified information about the CIA’s secret torture program to a reporter, was sentenced to 30 months in prison last January.

Have you heard of Russell Tice? The former NSA analyst who blew the whistle in 2005 on massive domestic spying across several agencies, now claims the NSA ordered wiretaps on Barack Obama in 2004. Why?

Tice claims the NSA had ordered surveillance on a large range of individuals and groups while he worked there, including high-ranking military officials, diplomats and lawmakers.

Former FBI-analyst Sibel Edmonds and Tice both raised awareness last year that monitoring these subjects provides intelligence  with power to blackmail targets.

I was worried that the intelligence community now has sway over what is going on,” Tice says.

It makes you wonder who is going to be included in the list of Americans spied on by the NSA which Glenn Greenwald announced yesterday was to be released soon.

Obama’s Justice Department has been unusually aggressive in prosecuting government officials for leaking secrets to the press. Six of the ten cases over the past century occurring under Attorney General Eric Holder’s watch, said Steve Coll, the dean of Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism

If Snowden wasn’t to be gagged and arrested, he wouldn’t have been forced to flee the country. He is doing this because he believes in America, not because he wants to destroy America. After watching other whistleblowers be silenced and/or arrested, how could anyone expect him to trust the American system of justice?

Apparently, this is precisely what John Kerry expects him to do.

The fact is if he cares so much about America and he believes in America, he should trust in the American system of justice,” Kerry said.

This is outrageous! Be sure your tuning into NBC tonight because this has potential to be history in the making…

One of the big questions when it comes to domestic spying is, ‘Who have been the NSA’s specific targets?’… Are they political critics and dissidents and activists? Are they genuinely people we’d regard as terrorists? What are the metrics and calculations that go into choosing those targets and what is done with the surveillance that is conducted? Those are the kinds of questions that I want to still answer.” – Glenn Greenwald

Will Greenwald’s finale prove Russell Tice has been telling the truth?

Likely. Maybe you’ll even find your name on it.

… and you wonder why Snowden feels threatened by the State Department?

  1. You know, this is what I’m talking about. He is being interviewed by NBC. That’s like asking to get caught.

Hmm…Let’s see….now if the government REALLY wanted to kill Snowden, any semi-skilled tech would easily be able to trace the signal back to Snowden in a matter of minutes and send a hit team in to go take him out if they really wanted to.

Now there are some people that say, “Oh, well there is technology that can bounce the signal all over the place and leave the signal untraceable”, I say bullshit! For an interview, they have all the time in the world to crack and trace it or at least narrow it down to a very good radius.

Snowden is such controlled opposition, it’s not even funny.
