  1. I know I shouldn’t give my money to Hollywood, but must say that for years I have not anticipated any movie like I am anticipating this one. I’ll have to endure blow-hard anti-Second Article DeNiro, but I am a Joaquin fan. I do not know his politics, but as an actor he usually delivers. And I think art serves one of its most important objectives when it disturbs. I hope there is something in it for people who love freedom and resonate with rogueness. I know we’re dealing with Hollywood so I’ll go with low expectation along with a hope that somehow something real will come out of the box and deliver meaning. Will be curious to see what they’ll do with the anti-hero theme. Will he get us on his team? Will any of his terrible acts be justified. Interesting case-study.

    1. Galen, I am so out of the loop this is the first I have heard of this movie. I am also a Joaquin fan. I do not remember the last time I went to see a movie. It sounds like this one will be a blockbuster.

        1. still have a bit of unpacking to do but it can wait…. trying to get prepped for winter … was 34 here this morning 🙁

          1. 85 in Dayton right now. 90 in Virginia earlier.. this whole region is hot.

  2. Interesting take and plausible, but I am more inclined to believe it’s more clever marketing than anything else.

If robbing US blind, subjugating US, violating our Rights every day, murdering US, and misappropriating our stolen $ and resources for foreign interests, I doubt a film is the match for the powder keg.

This film has been brought to you by an almost exclusively kosher bunch with a history of some of the joo-iest garbage you’ve ever(or not) seen.

It’s simply the 2019 version of “The Tingler” minus “Percepto!”, but perhaps the new “Percepto!” will be another fake shooter to drive their message home? THAT is where my money is going.

    1. shazam…I never saw that Vincent Price movie

you are probably correct about the clever marketing angle…

      1. Chock full of schlock(even one of the reviews on imdb used that word!) but entertaining classic.

In regards to marketing, I think of myself as the most despicable, money hungry, conniving, murderous joo and take my plan from there. I think of just how low these “people” will go and I think of cancer “research charities”. They knowingly give children cancer with OUR funds so they can “treat” them with MORE of OUR funds and quite often KILL the in the process, or parade their “success” photos/videos to milk even MORE funds out of the next suffering mark.

Sounds F’d up and I wish it weren’t so damn true.

        1. ‘They knowingly give children cancer with OUR funds so they can “treat” them with MORE of OUR funds and quite often KILL the in the process…’ you are correct on this…..I have first hand knowledge of it

          1. I am so sorry to hear that, mary. They truly ARE monsters! Torturing people first and leaving their families penniless after you’ve MURDERED their children doesn’t sit well with me. They’ve done the same thing with the opioid crisis they’ve created, as well. There is NOTHING they’ve touched they have not weaponized against US. I hate having to think like them to protect myself or others because it IS a very dark place but it steels my resolve. It’s only self defense.

          2. Although I did have cancer I was specifically referring to confirmation of vaccine induced pediatric cancers by (at the time) the clinical director of the neonatal intensive care unit I had recently retired from

there is no end to the rabbit hole

          3. Mary, you certainly do bring it from the horse’s mouth. Bless your strength and endurance.

            🙂

            .

    2. So true, and reading your words I find myself asking, “Is there nothing left?”

I mean in art/film/music, no spark that escapes the dark agenda and ignites a truth-storm? Like Dante in the ninth circle, looking hard, becoming profoundly appalled, and somehow escaping to be able to tell the tale?

Are we not yet thirsty enough to demand a real drink of life?

      1. ALL things intangible or abstract like services that have no real value are areas they like to deal in. Making shekels from something usually worthless or something readily available and often free is their forte. Water, diamonds, gold etc. They’re also the originators of alchemy:

        https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwj-yrDd5v7kAhUyuVkKHTlcCYoQFjAAegQIBBAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.jewishvirtuallibrary.org%2Falchemy&usg=AOvVaw2mp9MehsDJQ78iynpfM7xO

In this case I will think of myself as the tree of liberty in dire need of refreshment from those who have brought this drought.

        1. Very interesting background on Alchemy. They are claiming ownership, but is this process older than or beyond any sect or tribal effort? Here’s a bit more:

          http://www.chm.bris.ac.uk/webprojects2002/crabb/history.html

I’ve always thought of alchemy as a metaphor for a process of transformation wherein we turn the base into the beautiful and exulted, and the trash to something of value. And maybe we’re all our own alchemist. Alchemy just feels like a universal potential. They even debased alchemy itself.

Once, many years ago, a lady trying to sell me Scientology asked: “Galen, don’t you want to go up the bridge?”

I looked at her and said, “Nancy, I AM the bridge.” She gave me a weird look and walked away.

Beyond all this, is it too much to ask for a good movie to escape in to? Martist, may the drought end soon.

          🙂

          1. galen, have you seen Mortal Engines? I watched it not thinking I’d enjoy it, but I did. Very under rated movie, imo. I think it was made in 2017.

          2. “I’ve always thought of alchemy as a metaphor for a process of transformation wherein we turn the base into the beautiful and exulted, and the trash to something of value.”

But you’re a good soul, galen.

Now what would a satan worshiper do with that knowledge and power?

Their ancient Egyptian “deities” and symbols run amok, still to this day and are used by the same people. Check out our $ and how it is covered in images of these gods…skulls, pyramids, owls, eyes, etc.

            It’s their shtick.

          3. Thanks, guys.

And Katie, I never heard of that movie. Looks intense from the trailer. Will put it on my list. Am currently immersed in Ken Burns’ history of country music. About 17 hours of riveting story-telling and songs and beautiful broken people. Some overcame much. Some succumbed. Quite a piece of America. I think it was organic and not originally tribe owned.

            🙂

            .

          4. Thanks, Martist. Re:

“Now what would a satan worshiper do with that knowledge and power?”

Well, they certainly wouldn’t come up with GOLD!!

            That’s reserved for us.

            🙂

            .

          5. galen, I watched the Ken Burns history of country music documentary when it aired on PBS. I thought it was Excellent. Would definitely like to see it again. Glad your watching and enjoying it. 🙂

          6. Yes Angel, it’s an amazing presentation. If only music today can recapture its soul. “Money changes everything.”

“Three chords and the truth.” How did we get from there to Nicki Minaj and her butt songs?

You know that song some call the best country song of all time, sung by the best country voice of all time? George Jones, “He stopped loving her today.” Last night I listened to 10 or twelve different versions and after all these years I finally got the story, that the day he dies is the day he stopped loving her. Devastating. I’ll not get over that one. Yet, I like to think love goes on beyond our physical mortality. I’m sure you know about that. Here’s a version of the song I like. George sure did live hard and suffered for it, but with the songs, he never disappointed:

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-6daN5JZL0

He said “I’ll love you till I die”
She told him “You’ll forget in time”
I watched the years pass slowly by
She still preyed upon his mind
He kept her picture on his wall
            Went half-crazy now and then
But he still loved her through it all
Kept hoping she’d come back again
They found love letters by his bed
            Dated nineteen sixty-two
            He had underlined in red
            Every single “I love you”
I went to see my friend today,
Oh and I didn’t see no tears
All dressed up to go away,
First time I’d seen him smile in years
            He stopped loving her today
They placed a wreath upon his door
            Soon they’ll carry him away
            He stopped loving her today
You know, she came back today for a last time
Oh, ‘n’ we all wondered if she would
And it kept runnin’ through my mind
“Well, this time he’s over her for good”
            He stopped loving her today
They placed a wreath upon his door
And soon they’ll carry him away
            He stopped loving her today

Angel, sometimes I think our tears make us more human.

    1. Ahhh… Always good to hear when things arrive safely. Thanks for letting me know.

I love trains, and train whistles, and even railroad tracks. Wish I had lived when jumping the rails was a way of life. Some of it was adventure born of hardship, but some of it was adventure born of a sense of adventure. Oh to be young again.

Glad you like the picture and glad it’s gone to a good home. Enjoy, and remember, once we jumped trains.

      🙂
