‘VACCINE’ is being used to spy on baseball fans, festivalgoers etc., part 4

‘Visual Analytics for Command, Control and Interoperability Environments” (VACCINE) is a social media spying tool developed by DHS.

The U.S. Coast Guard secretly spied on baseball fans during last years All-Star Week. 

“VACCINE’s social media analytics tool was used by U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) during Major League Baseball’s All-Star Week.”  

“The USCG used VACCINE’s Social Media Analytics and Reporting Toolkit (SMART) as a way tomonitor and analyze the vast amount of social media data in the Cincinnati area in order to maximize security and minimize potential threats to public safety.”

Why did the Coast Guard spy on baseball fans in a park that borders the Ohio river? The answer might surprise you, in 2003 the USCG became part of DHS. Fyi, the old baseball park used to be called Riverfront Stadium not Oceanfront Stadium, so there’s little chance terrorists would be using the Ohio river to plan an attack on baseball fans.

“SMART is a social media analysis system that provides analysts with scalable analysis and visualization of social media posts. The system uses topic extraction, combinations of key word filters, word cluster examination, and unusual event detection to provide situational awareness and improve decision-making for time-critical tasks.”

“SMART includes message plots on a map, a topic view, a filter view, a stream categorization view, and a table for message content. It loads traffic, severe weather, power outage classifiers, and a combination of severe weather reports.”
In other words DHS has developed a disturbing new way to spy on every social media platform.

Don’t forget, Purdue University’s president Mitch Daniels has a close relationship with DHS. Daniels was a member of the Homeland Security Council and just recently, received an award from DHS and the Defense Security Service.

It’s all about the money for universities, last year the Feds (DHS) gave Purdue $171 million.

“Last year the university received more than $171 million dollars in sponsored funding for defense, industry and foundation research (DHS).”

DHS wants to create 2.3 million social media spies

According to DHS’s report titled “Proactive and Predictive Policing through the Application of Visualization and Data Analytics.” DHS wants to provide visual analytic and scalable solutions for all2.3 million extended homeland personnel.

• 185,00 DHS personnel.
• 350,000 law enforcement personnel.
• 750,000 homeland security practitioners.
• 2.3 million extended personnel.

In other words DHS wants to create 2.3 million social media spies.

How accurate is SMART?

SMART’s “novel prediction techniques based on seasonal, day of week and time of day patterns.”

It doesn’t get any plainer than that, SMART is about as good at predicting crime as your weatherman is about predicting the next storm.

Police used SMART to secretly spy on pumpkin festivalgoers.

According to DHS’s ‘Proactive and Predictive Policing’ report (pages 54-61) police used SMART to spy on New Hampshire pumpkin festivalgoers.

It isn’t just the Coast Guard that’s spying on you. According to DHS over 40 police departments and two Fusion Centers (Ohio & Indiana) are using SMART to spy on people.

Police are spying on you at gas stations, McDonalds etc.

“McDonald’s restaurants have Project Green Light equipment that feeds directly to a real-time crime center at Detroit Public Safety Headquarters.”

“Detroit police are now able to monitor some gas stations across the city through high-definition cameras.”

As far as I know, the Detroit police aren’t using VACCINE but really what’s the difference?

Conclusion

To say VACCINE might allow police to spy on public CCTV cameras and social media is misleading.  Police and the Coast Guard are actively using public CCTV cameras to spy on the public and they’re using VACCINE to spy on social media.
Morally bankrupt universities and corporations are clamoring to receive millions of dollars in grant money to further gov’t spying, under the guise of ‘public safety’. Gov’t (DHS) groomiing of academically gifted students or ‘geeks‘  from K-12 is wrong on so many levels.

America joins the ranks of numerous oppresive regimes who’ve indoctrinated their youth. Not only are our youth being taught to accept the loss of privacy as the ‘norm‘, they’re being groomed to work for the very organization (DHS) that is responsible for gov’t spying.

Few of the people helping to create the most comprehensive intelligence surveillance system ever, bother to ask how it will be used against us.
