An Idaho woman was confronted by police after breaking a glass door to help rescue a child in a burning truck.
Truck driver Tequila Isaacson was at a rest stop in Snoqualmie Pass, Wash. on Sunday when she noticed a family trying to get their child out of a burning pickup truck in the parking lot, she wrote in a Facebook post.
Isaacson searched for a fire extinguisher while someone called 911. She was unable to find one until she noticed an extinguisher behind the locked door of Red Mountain Coffee.
She walked back around the side of the building and saw the fire had spread and was coming from underneath the truck. That is when she says she returned to her own truck and grabbed a metal fence post to break the door.
“I got the fire put out, and everyone safe, before the 911 call was completed,” Isaacson wrote.
The entire ordeal lasted less than five minutes.
When first responders arrived, Isaacson told them that she broke the glass door. Instead of responding with thanks, a Washington State Patrol Trooper told her that using a fire extinguisher without permission is theft no matter how good the intentions, KOMO News reported.
“He outright stated that unless I was willing to pay for it right then and there, he would be charging me with burglary,” Isaacson told KOMO.
“Talk about no good deed goes unpunished,” she added.
The Washington State Patrol admitted a trooper did speak with Isaacson regarding who would be responsible for the damage.
The WSP will reportedly review the way the case was handled and added they are grateful for Isaacson’s courageous effort to help the child.
That woman wasn’t “scolded”
She was forced under the color of faslse authority

Maybe the cops kids will burn up in his car someday and everyone will stand around and do nothing
Karma ? ( though I would never wish this upon anyone’s kids , there’s a point to be made with what I said as a comparison of actions)
Because who wants to deal with their Bullshit anymore?
That business has insurance
And if that business has any compassion for what happened they should stand up and prove it by not pressing charges
