Apple Valley man shot wife, daughter and self, medical examiner says

David Crowley shot his wife and their daughter before turning the gun on himself in their Apple Valley home, authorities said Wednesday.

The Hennepin County medical examiner’s office determined that Crowley, 29; his wife, Komel, 28; and their 5-year-old daughter, Raniya, each died of a single gunshot wound to the head.

The deaths of Komel and Raniya have been ruled homicides, while Crowley died of suicide, the medical examiner’s office said.

Apple Valley police said from the beginning that they were investigating the case as a murder-suicide. A handgun was found near the bodies.

On Saturday, a neighbor who peered through a window discovered the bodies of the three at the family’s home at 1051 Ramsdell Drive.

It isn’t known exactly when the three died. In its report, the medical examiner’s office lists their date of death as the day they were found. Neighbors said they stopped seeing signs of life in the house around Christmas.

Friends and neighbors of David and Komel Crowley described the couple as happy. The pair met in Texas, where Komel was attending Baylor University and Crowley was stationed with the Army. They married in 2008, shortly before Crowley deployed to Iraq.

Crowley, an Owatonna, Minn., native, was a filmmaker and screenwriter who had been working on “Gray State,” a government-conspiracy-themed movie he scripted but had yet to film.

Komel Crowley was a registered dietitian who, like her husband, mostly worked from home.

Raniya is remembered for her “infinite curiosity and love of all things pink,” an obituary for her and her parents reads.

Funeral services have been set for next week in Owatonna. A visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Michaelson Funeral Home, while a memorial service followed by a reception will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the VFW.

David Crowley’s brother, Dan Crowley of St.

Paul, declined to comment on the deaths when he was reached Tuesday.

Earlier this week, he set up aGoFundMe.com page for Komel’s mother, Naila Alam, who has cancer and is hospitalized in Texas. She does not have medical insurance, Crowley wrote.

“Right now, this is a time of darkness in the lives of our families, but your love is shining through and good will triumph because of it,” he wrote in an update Wednesday.

He wrote that the families have “heartache, and an endless list of questions, most of which will never be answered.”

  1. Sure, sure….

happy, successful people kill themselves all the time.

And this article reveals nothing about proof….
    just states murder suicide.

    yeah yeah right.

    1. Exactly. Just like all the “stories”, they just say what they want you to believe…with zero proof of it. Osama did 911. There’s no proof of it, but he did it. There’s proof he DIDN’T do it, but he did it. Just believe what we say.

  2. It’s also been reported that there was NO gun powder
    residue on his hands………..
How is that done, unless he was wearing gloves.
Even then, there would still be some found elsewhere.

  3. What do you expect from a medical examiner? He’s just another cop with a PhD, and they cover up the crimes of their cop friends all the time. In this case he may have been visited by the FBI, but regardless of who he’s doing it for, lying about criminal evidence is what he does.

If you want to laugh, look at the findings of the Mena, Arkansas coroner regarding some of the deaths associated with Governor Bill Clinton’s cocaine smuggling operations there.

  4. Crowley had just been offered 30 million to get the film produced.
Somebody decided to rail road the film. People that shoot a hand gun 3 times will have gun powder residue on them.

  5. Yes JR, case closed! Murder-suicide is etched in stone. We can skip those pesky details that don’ fit in with our conclusion. A-1 police work at the speed of light.

  6. Could this all be a false flag? Where are the bodies? Did he die around Christmas? Why did family not try to contact them? Why did not the actor Danny Mason wonder where Crowley was? From what I’ve heard about the movie, it wasn’t all that great. So not sure what the big deal about it is. Has anyone heard from Crowley’s movie partner Danny Mason, the guy who acted in it? Could it be someone’s sailing the seas on a very nice yacht right now? Here is a link to AJ’s interview with Crowley and Mason back in 2012.https://www.youtube.com/watch?x-yt-cl=84359240&x-yt-ts=1421782837&v=NK-F72mnygA#t=140 to expose the movie and promote it.

  7. I knew there would be ‘questions’ until the Med’ Examiner got a call from Washington to “make this all go away”….

I would have been surprised by ANY other finding than a total coverup, like Michael Hastings, Breitbart, etc.
    ….

  8. Who is Paul, that declined to comment on their deaths, mentioned in this article. Article is disjointed as it mentions the brother but doesn’t appear to finish the sentence.” David Crowley’s brother, Dan Crowley of St.”

      1. Yep Millard, you got it. They just did not set up the article correctly. Pushed enter before it was needed. Thanks again. You are a proof reading genius!!

        1. Even more proof that the elite told someone to quickly put this article out there to close the incident out and to prevent anyone from investigating it further.

Like everyone said, “where’s the gun powder residue?”

  9. ferraro-italian-spanish

    Crowley-English-irish

    alam-english or muslim-arabic

doesn’t name the coroner or the neighbor

I guess they gotta keep these crime stories going whether or not they really happened until they reach their intended goal.

  10. “He wrote that the families have “heartache, and an endless list of questions, most of which will never be answered.”

Waterboarding the right people would get some answers.

No other ‘official’ explanation was even in the running.

    1. The official explanation goes like this. A happy
-go-lucky 29 year old, on the verge of stardom, decides to say “F#ck It and deposits lead into his wife and daughter’s noggin’s before he “offs” himself in the same manner. Yep, sounds like Ripley’s “Believe It or Not.”

  11. Well, I guess that proves it. I mean if they all died of a single gunshot to the head, it couldn’t be a hit from an outside source, right? Case closed.

  12. BULL-F**KING SHIT!! You don’t just kill your wife and daughter and then yourself.

    BULL-F**KING SHIT!!! 😡

“The Hennepin County medical examiner’s office determined that Crowley, 29; his wife, Komel, 28; and their 5-year-old daughter, Raniya, each died of a single gunshot wound to the head.”

“The deaths of Komel and Raniya have been ruled homicides, while Crowley died of suicide, the medical examiner’s office said.”

They call this guy a medical examiner? Is this the same medical examiner as the one in Sandy Hoax, Connecticut? Who paid the SOB off?

“Apple Valley police said from the beginning that they were investigating the case as a murder-suicide. A handgun was found near the bodies.”

WRONG! At the very beginning they said it was “Suspicious”.

Once again, WHO PAID THEM OFF??!!! 😡

These people were murdered. Plain and simple and someone is being paid off to say otherwise. Hang ’em all! 😡
