Faced with a declining enrollment and decreased revenues, New Mexico State University has begun a program that is offering Mexican students tuition at less than half the usual out-of-state rate.

Scriba, NY — US Coast Gaurd officials have cordoned off a portion of Lake Ontario this week, after aerial spotters found a visible “sheen” that is coming from a nuclear power plant in upstate New York.

ISTANBUL (AP) — A Turkish official says two explosions have rocked Istanbul’s Ataturk airport, wounding multiple people.
The official said Tuesday it was unclear whether the explosions were caused by bombs or a suicide attack.

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump appeared to soften his tone on immigration Saturday, saying he wouldn’t issue mass deportations if he became president.
“President Obama has mass deported vast numbers of people — the most ever, and it’s never reported. I think people are going to find that I have not only the best policies, but I will have the biggest heart of anybody,” Trump said in an interview with Bloomberg Politics Saturday. (Washington DC) – Judicial Watch today released 165 pages of new State Department records that include a previously unreleased March 22, 2009, email of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton revealing that she was concerned about how her records were being handled and had “no idea how my papers are treated at State. Who manages both my personal and official files?” Clinton top aide Huma Abedin responds: “We’ve discussed this” and promises to explain it again. This is the fifth set of records produced to Judicial Watch by the State Department (from the non-“state.gov” email accounts of Huma Abedin) that contain Hillary Clinton emails that were not produced by the State Department as part of the 55,000 pages of emails that Hillary Clinton turned over to the State Department. PASCAGOULA, Miss., June 28 (UPI) — Authorities are investigating the cause of a BP natural gas plant explosion in Pascagoula, Miss., that sent flames into the night sky late Monday.
“We would like to let our citizens know that there has been an explosion at the BP Gas Plant,” the Pascagoula Police Department said in a statement. “It is contained to the building. We are working with state and local officials regarding this. An Oregon mother shot and killed an intruder after coming home to discover him in the bedroom of one of her children early Sunday morning.
According to a statement by Portland police, officers responded to a call from the woman reporting that she opened fire on a stranger inside her home at 1:47 a.m. Police found a dead man inside, the statement said. The Supreme Court weighed in on several closely watched rulings Monday, issuing decisions on a variety of cases including a class-action lawsuit against a debt collector, and a challenge to White House regulations extending minimum wage rights to nearly 2 million home health care workers.

TransCanada Corp is formally requesting arbitration over U.S. President Barack Obama’s rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline, seeking $15 billion in damages, the company said in legal papers dated Friday.
TransCanada submitted a notice for an arbitration claim in January and had then tried to negotiate with the U.S. government to “reach an amicable settlement,” the company said in files posted on the pipeline’s website. Amman, Jordan – Weapons shipped into Jordan by the Central Intelligence Agency and Saudi Arabia intended for Syrian rebels have been systematically stolen by Jordanian intelligence operatives and sold to arms merchants on the black market, according to American and Jordanian officials.
Some of the stolen weapons were used in a shooting in November that killed two Americans and three others at a police training facility in Amman, FBI officials believe after months of investigating the attack, according to people familiar with the investigation.
