MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Like most preschoolers, the 3-year-old girl who lives in Montgomery is a whirl of energy. She sings and dances through the house and loves the cartoons “Sofia the First” and “Doc McStuffins.” She parrots back letters as her caretaker spells her name.

About once a month a relative takes her to visit at Alabama’s Julia Tutwiler Prison for Women where her mother, Monica Washington, is serving a 20-year sentence for robbery. Her father was an officer at the prison and pleaded guilty in 2011 to custodial sexual misconduct after a DNA test showed he had gotten Washington pregnant, said Charlotte Morrison, a senior attorney with the nonprofit Equal Justice Initiative.   Continue reading “Former Ala. prison inmates describe abuse”

One of the many pressing stories that remains to be told from the Snowden archive is how western intelligence agencies are attempting to manipulate and control online discourse with extreme tactics of deception and reputation-destruction. It’s time to tell a chunk of that story, complete with the relevant documents.   Continue reading “How Covert Agents Infiltrate the Internet to Manipulate, Deceive, and Destroy Reputations”

“Supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy’s resistance without fighting.”

“Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent’s fate.”   Continue reading “Sun Tzu Speaks to Putin on the Ukraine”

Inside sources say that the nearly 9 million pounds of beef recalled from a California Slaughterhouse earlier this month may come from cows sick with cancer.

Rancho Feeding Corp., a Northern California company, which is now under investigation by the US Department of Agriculture, recalled 8.7 million pounds of beef parts (3.95 million kg) as ordered by inspectors for lack of full federal inspection and processing unhealthy animals.   Continue reading “California slaughterhouse allegedly sold beef with cancer”

In one of the weirdest episodes of his presidency, Barack Obama yesterday popped up in the White House briefing room to somberly warn Russia not to intervene in Ukraine in what critics called an incredibly weak statement, and less than 30 minutes later declared “Happy Hour” with a band of fellow Democrats.

In a hastily scheduled appearance after a day in which Russian troops swarmed into Crimea, the president urged an end to the violence and encouraged Ukrainians “to pursue a course in which they stabilize their country, forge a broad-based government and move to elections this spring.”   Continue reading “Obama Warns Russia on Ukraine, Then 30 Minutes Later Declares ‘Happy Hour’ For Democrats”

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — While one of the newer double-walled nuclear waste storage tanks at a Washington state complex has leaked, six others have “significant construction flaws” that could lead to additional leaks, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.

The 28 double-walled tanks at Hanford nuclear waste complex hold some of the worst radioactive waste at the nation’s most contaminated nuclear weapons site.   Continue reading “Washington nuke waste tanks flawed?”

Here are some of my favorite political skits and jokes from late night comics.  Of course, we all know it’s their writers who really deserve all the applause…

I don’t watch Saturday Night Live anymore simply because it’s just not funny.  Their Liberal bias has been so way over the top for so long, and frankly, we get enough of that Liberal bias crap in real life.  Every once in a while, we need a vacation away from it all.  Today is all about humor with my “Friday Funnies”…    Continue reading “Some of my favorite political skits from late night comics”

A pair of burglars made off with $200,000 after wearing extremely realistic-looking masks and dressing as New York City cops. Edward Byam, 24, and Akeem Monsalvatge, 37, of Queens, dressed up as NYPD officers and wore the masks, making it appear that the two – both African American – were white.

And they would have gotten away with it too… If it weren’t for the “thank you” letter they sent to the company that made the realistic latex masks.   Continue reading “Robbers Dressed As White Cops Got Away With $200,000 Until Sending ‘Thank You’ Letter To Mask-Maker”
