A professor at the University of Louisville is suing his employer after being fired from a top position for expressing views on gender dysphoria and saying children who insist they are transgender should not instantly be believed.

Dr. Allan M. Josephson was formerly the head of the school’s Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology, but was demoted to a junior faculty position after university activists “sounded the alarm” over views he expressed during a 2017 panel discussion on gender dysphoria in children – and in February the university decided not to renew his contract.  Continue reading “Professor suing university after being fired for ‘troubling’ views on gender dysphoria in kids”

MALVERN, Iowa (Reuters) – The Black Hawk military helicopter flew over Iowa, giving a senior U.S. agriculture official and U.S. senator an eyeful of the flood damage below, where yellow corn from ruptured metal silos spilled out into the muddy water.

And there’s nothing the U.S. government can do about the millions of bushels of damaged crops here under current laws or disaster-aid programs, U.S. Agriculture Under Secretary Bill Northey told a Reuters reporter who joined the flight.  Continue reading “U.S. disaster aid won’t cover crops drowned by Midwest floods”

It symbolizes a successful full integration”, the bill reads. Continue reading “Belgium’s ‘Far Right’ Party Proposes Banning Jews from Being Dual Israeli Citizens?”

The U.S. State Department is offering to pay up to a million dollars each for two projects “that counter the rise of anti-Semitism” in Europe and Central Asia. The State Department uses a new definition of anti-Semitism that includes criticisms of Israel.

The projects will be funded through two State Department offices: the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor and the Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism. The anti-Semitism envoy position was created through 2004 legislation over the objection of the State Department. It’s hard to think of a more fundamental right than the right to determine what happens to one’s own body. Forcing someone to undergo medical treatment against their will violates this most basic of rights—the right to be free from physical assault. Yet even somelibertarians have jumped on the mandatory vaccination bandwagon, arguing that one person not taking every possible precaution against contracting a disease constitutes an assault against another. But this line of thinking requires some very tortured logic. Continue reading “Libertarians for Forced Vaccinations?”

The eight year anniversary of the triple meltdowns at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear facility passed mostly without comment in mainstream media circles. In spite of ongoing radiological contamination that will continue to spread and threaten human health for lifetimes to come, other stories dominate the international news cycle. The climate change conundrum, serious though it may be, seemingly crowds out all other clear and present environmental hazards.

As part of efforts to normalize this historic event and cover it up in its magnitude, the Japanese government has invested considerable financial, public relations and other resources into what they are billing the ‘Recovery Olympics‘ set to take place in a year’s time in Tokyo.    Continue reading “Fukushima: “An Ongoing Global Radiological Catastrophe”. “A Huge Coverup”.”
