(Kris Turner) Carrier is shuttering its manufacturing facility in western Indianapolis and moving its operation to Mexico, eliminating about 1,400 jobs during the next three years.
The heating, ventilating, air conditioning manufacturer announced Wednesday that it would begin eliminating its Indianapolis workforce in 2017 and continue the layoffs through 2019. The company’s plan is being discussed with United Steelworkers Local 1999, which represents the employees who face termination. Granting the ACLU and the public access to staffing, budgetary, and statistical information about the Boston Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) and FBI would mean “the public would know where the FBI was putting its resources,” warned an Assistant US Attorney in oral argument in a Boston federal court last week. The government apparently doesn’t want the public to know anything about how the FBI and JTTF spend public money, staff its offices, or conduct investigations. Many of us saw it coming a long time ago — increasing confrontation between liberty proponents and the corrupt federal establishment leading to increasing calls by political elites and bureaucrats to apply to American citizens the terrorism countermeasures designed for foreign combatants. It was only a matter of time and timing.
My stance has always been that the elites would wait until there was ample social and political distraction; a fog of fear allowing them to move more aggressively against anti-globalists. In the past two years, we have witnessed a sea of change in the attitude of Americans toward cannabis. Colorado made history by becoming the first state to completely decriminalize possession and use of the plant, with Washington and other states soon following.
Medical cannabis use is now legal in 23 states, and others will soon be joining that list. Polls find that a solid majority of Americans support cannabis legalization, especially for medicinal use. The Free Thought Project has reported on many incredible ways that cannabis is being used to treat a variety of ailments. BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A spokesperson for the Brunswick Nuclear Plant says a unit at the facility remains in shutdown mode, while officials work through “detailed process/procedures to fully understand this event and make the needed repairs to return the unit to service.”

On Sunday in his weekly column Ron Paul discussed a recommendation by the United States Preventive Services Task Force.
The recommendation calls mental health screening of all Americans. “The task force wants to force health insurance companies to pay for the screening. Basic economics, as well as the Obamacare disaster, should have shown this task force that government health insurance mandates harm Americans,” writes Paul.
