Dog MurdersKelsey Markou was walking her family dog, named Dog, when a pitbull attacked. She tried to get the pitbull off of Dog, and a man walking by called the police.
When the police officer arrived, Kelsey told the officer which dog was hers and which was the one who attacked. Kelsey’s mother describes what happened next:
“He got 5 to 6 feet away from the dogs and just started shooting at them.”
Kelsey estimated the police officer fired eight shots. The pitbull was taken to the vet. Dog was dead at the scene.
Kelsey’s mom explained:
“I want them to be accountable and really look at the way the situation was handled. We’re traumatized, and I have a daughter that’s going to be traumatized the rest of her life. She’ll never forget it. She hasn’t been sleeping. That’s a hard pill to swallow.”

If it wasn’t for the pitbull nothing would have happened. Again the common denominator is that god damn breed a pitbull. So many wonderful dogs to pick from…Border Collie’s are smart, Labs love water and are good family dogs, Golden Retriever’s gentle and love everybody , and what do moron, drug addict, tattoo painted people do? Get a pitbull. All pitbull owners should be forced to purchase 1 million dollars in insurance on their dog.
And then again, my cat has never attacked anybody.
Like the old saying goes ” there are no bad dogs, only bad owners”. And I also would say bad breeders to go along with that saying
yep Pit Bulls can be bad but the breed you really want to avoid is the Fila Brasiliera…they were bred originally in Brazil to hunt runaway slaves…I know a guy who owned one and this dog nearly tore my hand off once…still, bad owners are the issue. It tears me up everytime I read about cops killing innocent dogs (and people, of course).
