I guess it’s true when they say: “Art is subjective.” We all look through our own lens. All I know is how I respond to a particular artist/performance, and this one lifted me way up. It was one of his last shows. You can tell he was up there, or out there. I see mastery succumbing to pain and suffering. I don’t care what he may have done wrong or where he may have fallen short; seemed he knew a bit about hell and also a bit about heaven. God bless, Elvis. It could not have been easy for him.
He did well, but…Nobody could do it like the Righteous Brothers. Not even the wonderful voice of Roy Orbison.
