Welcome to the era of the ‘Big Flaunting FLOTUS’.
Yesterday a picture of Obama dogs Bo and Sunny dining at a table set with fine crystal and china, bling-wearing Sunny sporting a necklace tweeted by Michelle Obama, travelled the Net.
The Tweet photo, captioned “Bone Appétit”, had some news sites like Thomas Lifson’s greatAmerican Thinker, headline the Michelle Tweet “stunning insensitivity”. An apt headline under circumstances of the day where the children of many average Americans do not get to eat as well as the Obama dogs and daughters.
With Hollywood attendees still belching stale champagne from last night’s State Dinner for French Prime Minister Francois Hollande, today it’s pictures of Michelle Obama’s curious dinner gown.
Believe it or not Michelle went train-traipsing about the White House in a gown straight out of the Queen of the Ball fairytale book.
This is what CNN talking heads had to say about the sweeping train frock.
“Well, first of all, I love the dress on her because I think it’s so elegant and so simple. I mean, that shape is what we call the princess shape. It’s got that poof at the bottom that’s very sort of billowy at he same time. It’s strapless. I think we want to call that French blue, maybe,” said a guest. (weeklstandard.com)
“FLOTUS was wearing a black and liberty blue Carolina Herrera gown,” the pool reporter said.
“Another guest on CNN last night thought the cost was about $12,000. “Well, by the way, I think that dress probably cost around $12,000. But that’s just my guess,” said Sally Quinn.
That CNN-described “poof on the bottom that’s sort of billowy at the same time” is a train favored by royalty and brides, of which Michelle is neither.
The poof was certainly not made to flout Michelle Obama’s capacious, ahem, caboose.
Who will Michelle Obama wear at the French State dinner? the Washington Post asked in its front page headline yesterday, later replaced with the headline: D.C. royalty turn out for state dinner.
Michelle wore her own people to the State dinner, and along with her big-spending husband, is wearing them all thin.
Meanwhile, there is no doubt that Michelle Obama is making history as ‘Big Flaunting FLOTUS’. Pictures of dogs at a china and crystal-laden table and wearing a gown that should be called Michelle’s Train-Wreck make it so.

I read this earlier and had to go barf. The gall of these two defies belief. They should be cast into the streets of the worst part of Chicago with no money and a cardboard box to live in. If they survive then they should be hung for surviving.
