Fear, Confidence, Courage as Practiced

courageI read an article today posted to Henry Shivley’s website regarding a patriot who is contemplating the awful thought of having to go to war and the real possibility of protecting his family before himself.

In the article he mentioned removing himself from his home in case the feds might decide to kick his door down in the middle of the night to drag him away to a FEMA camp.  He would decide to not shoot back due to the possibility of his wife and kids being harmed by bullets fired by the invaders.  In effect, he would surrender himself or fall on his sword to protect others.  I applaud this man’s chivalry and desire to protect his wife and offspring first.  Yes, he would be making a wise decision to avoid carnage for those he loves.

He went on further in the article thinking about retreating to a safe place in the woods where he might prepare and fight from there.

In the comments section I posted a thought regarding these scenarios and suggested he might think it best to stand and fight and let his wife and children see him die, rather than capitulate.  I suggested that a hellfire missile might take him out at home or at the country retreat he had mentioned in the article.  Either way, he would be a dead man.  And, should he decide to take the wife and children with him to the retreat, it would not matter if they all died at home or at the retreat.  Either way, the bad guys would seek to annihilate him, or at minimum hold the wife and kids hostage in order to have him turn himself in.  Please do not think that I am implying that the author of this article was/is/will be a coward.  I do not believe he is.  In fact, I applaud his honesty.  Many of us know where we personally stand at this moment and will decide at the split-second where we will remain once the battle(s) begin.

My next thought after reading this man’s article was of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence who had had the same fears and risked their lives, property, fortunes, and families at the signing of the document and its delivery to the enemy, the British.  Are not we facing the same risk?

Would not the traitorous ‘Turncoat’ ‘ Tories’ (Hitler Youth) of the day surely be the ‘Hellfire’ missiles of today?  Betrayal would seem the more effective weapon for those without the courage to stand by those who would choose to fight for the rights of all men and women whose goal would be collective liberty.

What would the difference be if the ‘Gun Grabbers’ and the ‘Food Grabbers’ and the ‘Medicine Grabbers’ chose to use denial of service or sustenance to those who would resist them, versus the launching of a million-dollar Hellfire missile?  Would not the effect of death be the same?

What about the famous photo of the lone Chinese student standing in front of the Chinese Communist tank in Tienanmen Square?   He knew that he was going to die at that moment, or die later.

What price courage?  What price practice?  What price confidence?  The answer is leadership by example.

Let us face our situation.  No matter the excuse or label, the bad guys are coming and we are going to die.  Before we leave this world, each person will either die of something or for something.  Let us die as free men with our boots on.  Let us stay the course.  Let us example and bleed freedom as those of the ‘Freed Kingdom’ of God.

  1. From John Friend’s Blog on America’s Founding Fathers:

“Jonathan Williams recorded in his LEGIONS OF SATAN, 1781, that Cornwallis revealed to Washington that “a holy war will now begin on America, and when it is ended America will be supposedly the citadel of freedom, but her millions will unknowingly be loyal subjects to the Crown.” Cornwallis went on to explain what would seem to be a self contradiction: “Your churches will be used to teach the Jew’s religion and in less than two hundred years the whole nation will be working for divine world government. That government that they believe to be divine will be the British Empire. All religions will be permeated with Judaism without even being noticed by the masses, and they will all be under the invisible all-seeing eye of the Grand Architect of Freemasonry.”

  2. A better solution is to teach your wife and children to fire a weapon effectively. If things get so bad that a gun confiscation scenario takes place, they will come for all dissenters and their families. Your family will not be safe with you on the run. It is better that every man, woman and child fight for their lives. Quite literally that is what would be necessary. If some of us fall, it is better we die a free people then to live as slaves in fear.

  3. Good question. Who will have the courage to be the one who gets this thing going…Like the article says, someone who does not have a choice.

  4. Why not ask someone for advice who has lived through this terror? Some one who witnessed first hand the murder of 60 million Christians by the Jews.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?
