A foul-mouthed Tinley Park man cursed out his children and threatened to lock them in a “hot truck” if they didn’t “shut up,” then unleashed a stream of profanity at a woman who objected to his language, police said.
The man, 33-year-old Mark Pawlak of 17411 Carlyle Court, was carted off by the Orland Park cops and charged with disorderly conduct for his allegedly offensive behavior.
A 26-year-old woman who had eaten at Lumes Pancake House on 159th Street with her mother and baby called the police on Pawlak. The woman told police she walked by the table where Pawlak, a woman and two young children were sitting and heard him utter, “You’re such little b—–,” and, “Stop being little a——s,” according to a police report.
The woman “advised she was offended and disturbed by the language being used towards young children and turned around to confront Mark,” police said. “While approaching his booth, she heard him say, ‘I’m going to lock you two in the hot truck if you don’t shut up.'”
The woman then “confronted Mark about his language and tone towards the children,” police said. She “related that she advised Mark that his language was offensive and he needed to stop verbally abusing the children. Mark then said, ‘Shut the —- up b—–, —- you.'”
The woman reportedly “felt threatened by the situation and the left the scene with her mother and newborn baby to call the police while in the parking lot.”
Two police officers showed up at Lumes and Pawlak told them the woman was “making up the whole story” and let them know “he never used any foul language,” police said.
“Upon speaking further with him, Mark admitted to swearing while at the table but never towards his children or towards” the woman, police said.
The police put Pawlak in handcuffs and hauled him down to the station. They also called the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services on him.
There ARE those who should NEVER breed.
Unfortunately, they’re usually the most prolific.
This is a perfect example of DHS’s “See Something Say Something” spy program in action!
No one should be arrested for FREE SPEECH, he never threatened the woman, the police dept. & the woman should be sued. But I doubt they’d win a suit against a woman who “felt threatened by the situation and the left the scene with her mother and newborn baby to call the police while in the parking lot.” (what a joke)
