Is this treason?

At what point in the course of human events when it becomes necessary to dissolve the political bands and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, do we leave the notion of treason behind and embrace the liberty of revolution?

Last week a man, Cliven Bundy made a stand.  He would not let the federal government illegally seize his property in a bid to have his livelihood and thereby his land stripped from him.  

In 1776 Thomas Jefferson wrote a little something that the preamble of this article artfully interspersed within itself, it was called the Declaration of Independence.  Now, most of us know WHAT this is…but do you know what is SAYS?  Not the catch phrases and buzzwords like “all men created equal” and “life liberty and the pursuit of happiness” but what the actual charges against the King were?

The following is taken DIRECTLY from the Declaration of Independence.  Prepare to be shocked at how applicable it is today:

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers. (where are the independent investigations into Fast and Furious, Benghazi, Obamacare etc)

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries. (if you are not an Obama contributor good luck getting a seat on the federal bench)

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass (sic) our people, and eat out their substance. (that one just speaks for itself…how many czars does this country have now?)

He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures. (the federal government buys BILLIONS of rounds of ammo, drones flying over American cities, feds training to fight US citizens on American soil)

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation. (see: UN Arms Trade Treaty)

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent (again…Obamacare et al)

For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments. (continued attacks on the 2nd Amendment, socialized medicine etc)

It’s as if someone today was writing this about President Obama.  Yet, what was good and just and noble back in 1776 is being decried as terrorism by loud mouth Nevada Senator Harry Reid.

After the showdown in Nevada with Clive Bundy and a ragtag band of Patriotic mitia forcing the tyrannical federal government to back down, Reid decries this action thusly:

“They’re nothing more than domestic terrorists.  I repeat: what happened there was domestic terrorism.”

In the eyes of Harry Reid, free men and women standing up against the tyranny of an overreaching government is equivalent to terrorism.  Reid goes on to discuss Cliven Bundy directly:

“Clive Bundy does not recognize the United States.  The United States, he says, is a foreign government. He doesn’t pay his taxes. He doesn’t pay his fees. And he doesn’t follow the law. He continues to thumb his nose at authority.”

Let’s look at that for a second.  The federal government IS NOT the United States.  Liberal socialists always make that mistake.  They claim that a strong government makes a strong nation.  That is a load of cow dung.  It is the strength of the individual that makes this nation great.  Patriots make up the United States.  It is the patriot who beats back tyranny, who creates wonder and beauty, who rises above himself and strives for something greater.

All a government can do is try to legislate away freedom, liberty and excellence.

Oh, and those fees and laws that Reid claims Bundy doesn’t follow?  He’s right…Bundy doesn’t because they were specifically being used to deprive Bundy of his property.

I don’t fault Bundy for not being driven from his land and forced to go bankrupt via a federal governments scheme to seize his property.

Let’s just universally agree that Harry Reid is an ass.

Because frankly, anyone who would think that Cliven Bundy and those who stood up with him against tyranny are anything other than reminiscent of Concord and Lexington must hate how this country was FOUNDED.

Harry Reid is the terrorist in this scenario.  He has vowed:

“Well, it’s not over. We can’t have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it’s not over.” 

That sounds like a threat to me.  A malfunctioning drone type of threat…an Elian Gonzales midnight snatch type of threat…a “we’re the federal government and we will bleed you dry in endless court litigation” kind of threat…a no knock warrant with no just cause and killing your dog kind of threat.

Why would Reid care…it’s not HIS money used to persecute a patriot.

It’s OURS.  Ain’t that a kick in the crotch.

Did Bundy and his militia supporters engage in terrorism or treason?

Hell no.  From the moment of our founding we believed in this:

 And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

It can’t be treason…for nothing is more American than that.
