TUCSON – Mayor Jonathan Rothschild was carjacked on Saturday just before 11 a.m., according to Tucson Police spokesperson Sgt. Pete Dugan.
He was walking to his car in the area of Tucson Blvd. and 5th St. when he was approached by a man with a gun.
The man demanded the keys to the Mayor’s city-owned Toyota Prius.
Mayor Rothschild was not harmed.
Tucson police said it does not appear that the mayor was targeted.
The car was found around 1:30 p.m. near 36th St. and Forgeus Ave., but the suspect still has not been located, according to TPD.
The man was also involved in an attempted carjacking and an altercation with a mailman before the incident.

I was able to get a copy of the fake police report….

I was caught off guard.
The guy asked for some grey poupon and mumbled something about a hotdog potluck with a mail person and was responsible for condiments.
I said welll….
I have a case of grey poupon in the trunk of my prius.

He pulled a weapon on me.
It was black…
about six inches. ..
With a big hole at the tip.
Pointed at me…..
