Merry Christmas

Well here it is Christmas eve. I’ve been trying to think of how to say this so as not to offend anyone on this day.

So without further ado MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.

My political correctness needs work. Maybe next year. Naw, I’ll just have to go with MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Have great day today and tomorrow everyone.

  1. Is this true everywhere in this country, now? Life in the big city, it has been “happy holidays” here for decades. But I spent some years living in a small town about a decade ago, and there everyone wished everyone (especially strangers) “Merry Christmas!” I hope that has not changed.

Especially this year, when Hanukkah came early for once — there is no “holidays” to be had — it is simply, and only Christmas. Really.

“not fair!” to other religions — how come WE get OUR religious day off work and school, but other religions don’t?

(well, I guess that’s being talked about now, as a possible change).

What I do around here (since it is such a religiously diverse area) is a two-parter. And yes, to total strangers:

    “Do you celebrate/observe Christmas?”

if the answer is yes, I say “Merry Christmas!” If the answer is no, I say, “well then, Happy Holidays!” and I can’t imagine I offend anyone by doing it this way. And if I do, well…. that’s just real sad.

    So Merry Christmas, everyone! 🙂

    1. It is an American national Merry Christmas, by God, and anybody that doesn’t like it can get the f#@k out of my country. They will not take our culture from us and anybody that doesn’t like it can step up, because I’m here to insult.

  2. Merry Christmas, everyone.

(and please notice that I’m NOT turning this into a political tirade — just wishing you all a Merry Christmas, a happy new year, and the best of health, happiness, and luck to you and yours).

  3. Merry Christmas REDHORSE!

Hope you and yours has a fabulous couple of days my friend. Don’t put too much Crown Royal in the eggnog! I know I probably would. It’s been great these past years having you on the site, and it’s been great meeting you as well.

    God Bless!
