A mother has taken car-pooling to a whole new level after she was caught driving her kids on the roof of her SUV, police say.
Stunned officers in Dixon, Ill. were tipped off on Tuesday afternoon about the vehicle, which had a large inflatable pool placed on its roof.
When officers from Dixon Police Department were dispatched, they allegedly found the white Audi with two young girls sitting in the blow-up pool.
Pulling the vehicle over, they were told by the 49-year-old driver, Jennifer Yeager, that her two daughters were in the pool to keep it from blowing away, police said.
The mother was arrested and charged with two counts of endangering the life of a child and two counts of reckless conduct.
She was also charged with failing to secure passengers aged 8 and under the age of 16.
Some Facebook commenters claimed to have seen Yeager’s vehicle in action. And while many criticized her for putting her children in danger, some saw the outing as “fun.”
It’s fun till the kids are dead . Can’t even think that someone would call that a fun outing . The more I see shit like this I know there need to be a herd thinning
