New Oregon Law Orders Review of Research on Health Effects from Cell Phone and WiFi Radiation Exposure

Activist Post – by BN Frank

Decades ago research determined that exposure to cell phone and wireless WiFi radiation is harmful (see 12).  Since then more research has confirmed the same thing.  This is being taken seriously outside of the U.S. already.

Unfortunately, current American guidelines, legislation, limits, and testing are VERY outdated and don’t apply to how most people use or are exposed to current wireless radiation emitting technology.  Even though “Microwave Sickness” also referred to as “Electromagnetic Sensitivity” has a long history as a recognized medical condition, it is often misdiagnosed because there are so many symptoms.

American Academy of Pediatrics and other experts say that children are more vulnerable to illness from exposure.  That’s why so many are trying to get WiFi in schools replaced with wired internet.

Medications may mask symptoms but not necessarily forever.  Reducing exposure is the key.

Thanks to Oregon for taking a step in the right direction and setting a good example for other states.

Oregon Senate Bill 283 was signed into law on August 9, 2019 by the Governor. It orders the review of the independent peer-reviewed literature on the health effects from microwave radiation. It was effective beginning August 9.

Relating to exposure to radiation in schools in this state; and declaring an emergency.

Bill Summary

Directs Oregon Health Authority to review peer-reviewed, independently funded scientific studies of health effects of exposure to microwave radiation, particularly exposure that results from use of wireless network technologies in schools and to report results of review to interim committee of Legislative Assembly related to education not later than January 2, 2021.

Final Bill text:

AN ACT

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

SECTION 1.

(1)(a) The Oregon Health Authority shall:

(A) Review peer-reviewed, independently funded scientific studies of the health effects of exposure to microwave radiation, particularly exposure that results from the use of wireless network technologies in schools or similar environments; and

(B) Report the results of the review to an interim committee of the Legislative Assembly related to education not later than January 2, 2021.

(b) The review described in paragraph (a) of this subsection must, at a minimum, consist of a literature review of peer-reviewed, independently funded scientific studies that examine the health effects of exposure to microwave radiation on children.

2) The Department of Education shall develop recommendations to schools in this state for practices and alternative technologies that would reduce students’ exposure to microwave radiation that the review described in subsection (1) of this section identifies as harmful.

SECTION 2. This 2019 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2019 Act takes effect on its passage.

  1. ‘American Academy of Pediatrics and other experts say that children are more vulnerable to illness from exposure. That’s why so many are trying to get WiFi in schools replaced with wired internet. ‘

the AAP should also be pursuing the banning of prenatal ultrasound

  2. “Medications may mask symptoms but not necessarily forever.”

    You’re joking, right?

Using Big Pharma in a pitiful attempt to SOLVE a problem, when it’s been proven time & again that their poisons CREATE far worse problems than they solve???

“(b) The review described in paragraph (a) of this subsection must, at a minimum, consist of a literature review of peer-reviewed, independently funded scientific studies that examine the health effects of exposure to microwave radiation on children.”

The emphasis being on ‘at a minimum’.

Good news (on the face of it), but merely more dog & pony ‘appeasement’ tactics, if you ask Hatr.
