Oregon Governor, AG Hold SECRET MEETINGS With Gun Grabbers

Progressives Today

It’s been a busy week, apparently, for Oregon’s top elected morons. As they struggle to come up with new ways to enact gun control, Governor Kate Brown, Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum, and senate majority leader Ginny Burdick have apparently been meeting with anti gun organizations behind closed doors, away from the public eye, with no announcement or invitation for anyone else to participate.

Denis Theriault of the Oregonian reports:

House Majority Leader Jennifer Williamson, D-Portland, wants to revive a measure that would limit default gun sales when background checks take longer than expected, after the bill earned tepid support anddied in the Senate last month.

Advisers for Gov. Kate Brown and Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum huddled with advocates in separate meetings Thursday to hear about executive actions they might take without legislative approval. Brown, up for election this year, had already vowed to “explore” that possibility last month.

And Senate Majority Leader Ginny Burdick, D-Portland, at a forum hosted by the Oregon Alliance for Gun Safety, reiterated her support Wednesday for enacting gun-violence restraining orders. That idea, already in place in California, would create a court-sanctioned mechanism for removing guns from people believed to be at risk of harming themselves or others.

“People are starting to understand that the loud, screaming voices out there do not represent the public,” Burdick said Wednesday.

“The dangerous position on this issue is against reasonable gun safety legislation. Vote against reasonable legislation at your peril.”

Oregon’s gun rights community, which blamed the government for slow background checks and saw Williamson’s bill as overreach, gave themselves credit for helping run out the clock.

“Make no mistake, you made the difference. It was your efforts that killed this dangerous and evil bill. You have much to be proud of,” Kevin Starrett of the Oregon Firearms Federation wrote on the group’s website March 3. “Elections are coming and your participation is critical. You have seen once again that your voice matters. Make sure your vote matters.”

Starrett didn’t return a message seeking comment this week.

In comments at the end of the legislative session, Brown expressed disappointment about HB 4147’s demise. But she left the door open for fresh legislation and executive efforts.

Her public safety advisor, Heidi Moawad, met with the left-leaning Center for American Progress on that subject Thursday. The group also met with Aaron Knott, Rosenblum’s legislative director. The Center for American Progress has worked up a national effort that emphasizes tighter enforcement of current gun laws and better collaboration, on gun tracing and background checks, across state lines.

“We’re in listening mode right now,” said Brown’s spokeswoman, Kristen Grainger. “But there’s more consulting to do.”

“This is not a partisan issue outside the Legislature,” said Burdick, who noted widespread public support for simple gun restrictions.

Jim Moore, a political science professor at Pacific University, said that’s true. It’s just that “it’s not very deep.”

“There is a very vocal, but relatively small, group on either side, screaming to be heard and influencing the legislation,” Moore said. “Generally, if we are closer in time to a massacre, the better chances of gun limitation legislation. The farther away we get, the more the gun rights people win out.”

As for any looming political shifts, he cautioned against hand-wringing, or exuberance: “Not that many people will change their electoral support for candidates over gun issues.”

It’s becoming habitual for the anti 2nd Amendment crowd to do their dirty work in secret, as they most certainly don’t want the public to know what they are plotting. Last month a super secret event featuring Gabby Giffords ejected independent media, with notable anti gun organizers Jake Weigler and Colin Cochran escorting out anyone whom they didn’t want hearing what was going on.

Oregon state rep Jennifer Williamson, who took flack for defending child sex abusers and wanting to let violent criminals out of jail early, accidentally let it slip on KATU’s “Your Voice, Your Vote” program that she had been meeting in secret with the Oregon State Police to plot new control schemes.

And let’s not forget that just last month Governor Brown said she would explore executive actions on gun control, but turned into a stuttering mess when asked to elaborate.

  1. Rosenblum… need I say more.
Yes I need to say more.
What is with these fking women that they like serving these demons.
    You go to court….
    Women Judge…
    Women clerk…
These fkng women love serving their satanic masters.
Give them a little power and a paycheck and they’ll do the Devils deeds.
95% Percent of the time when your getting fkd by the courts now there’s always a women fkng you over.
Shame on you ladies….keep serving evil and you’ll pay the same price as the rest.
I have no respect for them.
Its almost the same when the Nephilim came down.
They gave themselves freely to them to gain knowledge and powers of witchcraft to be above humanity.
    So be it.
That’s why they were so oppressed during the ages.
They sold out humanity for their own selfish desires.
So here we are again full circle.

  2. “That idea, already in place in California, would create a court-sanctioned mechanism for removing guns from people believed to be at risk of harming themselves or others.”

What infringement ISN’T already in place in that POS commie state?

Regardless, the only ‘others’ anyone here should be harming are the communist jewb#tches who attempt to ‘remove’ their guns.

  3. Wow flee, you just broke the “speed of light” barrier with possibly the most sexist comment I’ve ever heard. Women are not the problem! Wash your knuckles off!

However, it’s nothing different than what they “thumped” in evangelical churches today.

    1. Thanks Mill.. I appreciate your point of view.
But I am entitled to my opinion and so are you.
But guess what…. nobody likes the truth.
Don’t try and school me like some little bitch.
I’ve been patient with you out of respect.
But if you want to get it on.
I want you to hit me as hard as you can.
      Then we’ll throw down.
What I have to say I’ll guarantee you.
Henry will ban me from this site.

      1. No, we are not going to have discourse here. And, no, I’m not going to have to kick you off. The fact is what you asserted is absolutely correct, in my experience, and is classic communism. It is the male of the species our enemies fear and they have attempted to give power over us, not only to the women, but to the children.
Sorry Millard, but it has been my experience that the courts and the government are packed with women who are chosen because they are man-haters.
I’ve told the story of the occupation of France and the French women who betrayed their country in sleeping with and aiding the enemy. A portion of the women in this country are guilty of the same. Of course all of this was facilitated by men who were the fathers of the treason.
In the end, all who have betrayed are going to answer up and all had better know that there is some serious animosity for these bitches with the government balls hanging between their legs. All in all, it is a complete program designed to cut the balls off the men and make them irrelevant pussies and give them over to the women to keep in a box to use as they see fit. F#@k these bitches, they want to act like men who are trying to inflict tyranny, they will be treated as such.

        1. I’ve encountered the bitches you refer to Henry and flee, but that’s an awful broad brush your using.

I know it’s hard to believe, but there are women who want to live the traditional life, they’ll let their men keep their ballsack, and want nothing more than to provide a loving home environment for proper upbringing of children. They’ll be raised with cooking and sewing skills and be well versed in “canning.”
They’ll have plenty of gardening experience and insist upon a root cellar. What a guy needs to do is find a woman who’s self-sufficient and see if that way of life is compatible with yours. Maybe it’s just me, thinking of the days when women held “properness” high, that was right before slut city became a suburb. Armed with moral corruption, they roam the streets, with “butch” haircuts pretending to be something they’re not, in fact, that’s the problem, we got too many people pretending to be something they’re not.

Then there’s the flip side, we got too many people that are “wannabe’s.”

If you ever find a real woman, I know they’re few and far between, you’d be a fool to let her go. Yes, club her in the head and drag her to your cave! lol

          1. Not hard to believe at all, Millard. My Laura has been a good mom to her children and a faithful companion in my life. She is intelligent and does not back down from her view when she is in the right. Most important of all, she is quite content within her gender.
Women are different than men. Men are different than women. A man and a woman who embrace their differences are the true complete being within their children.
I love women. I despise creatures who reject their own identity and gravitate to a want for power over their fellow beings, no matter which gender they happen to be. The bull dikes sicken me as do the fairy fagots who think they are going to walk into the same bathroom as my wife. All these will be destroyed before this is over with, as they have upset the balance of nature and nature absolutely will correct this malady one way or another.

          2. Thank you Millard for your wonderful reply. I also appreciate Flee’s and Henry’s opinion on women too as well. As for me, I am very much a traditional ol gal and I am happy in my role of being a traditional wife. My husband is and has always been the head of household and we will be married 42 years tomorrow. Our daughter is the same, her husband is head of their household and they have two children. Neither of us would have it any other way. Just as there are lousy wives there are lousy men too but most men want nothing more than to be the king of their castle and that is as it should be. Women don’t know what their missing out on by being a traditional wife. In my experience those are the happiest women, they respect men and allow men to be the true head of household.

          3. CatFon,
Congratulations to you and your husband on your 42nd Anniversary.
Life is strange indeed. When one marries, it is a change. When one has children, the change is profound. When those children are grown and go out on their own, they take a little piece of the soul with them, and for those who reared them, life again is changed and you are really right back where you started, though a little more experienced, it must be said.
I have enjoyed life in each aspect of its being and indeed enjoyed the life I have now, though I often wonder just how much more happiness could have been derived from the experience had there not been psychopaths out there who crave that all should be miserable in their existence as they crave misery.
I guess we all do the best we can with what we have and I will go on the record as saying that the more natural life a person lives, the happier they will be through each step.

          4. “the more natural life a person leads, the happier they’ll be through each step.”

            Words of wisdom, Henry.

  4. Isaiah 3:12King James Version (KJV)

” As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.”

Apparently in Oregon, they have let far left radical females rule over them and now they reap what they have sown.

  5. Henry,
I just wanted to say that I love your comment about Laura. She sounds like a happy lady and I know that you and her have a wonderful marriage. I agree with you on your comment about bull dikes and fairy fags. I so feel for the younger generations being exposed to those that feel they can march into a public restroom that is for the gender they are not. I know someday things will change but I cannot help but worry about my grandchildren being exposed to those weird people. It makes me so sad sometimes.

    1. Hello Henry, I wanted to reply to your last reply but there isn’t a reply button there so I’ll just add my comment here. Thank you for your anniversary wishes, so very much appreciated, as well as the rest of your reply. That’s so very true about being right back where we all started after the children have left home. It’s quite a change to go into the empty nest but it’s a blessing to see children strike out on their own too. We all just try to do the best we can in a world filled with psychopaths and evil people. So therefore I agree with you that we just have to do the best we can and make our lives as natural as possible.

      1. Cat, blessings on your 42nd anniversary. I’ve been married for 28. I’m also a very traditional wife. Most people cannot fathom where I stand in this world. Why I don’t wish for a job, or to be a stakeholder in the corporate world. I’ve been content having my babies, taking care of the house, cooking, cleaning and loving my children and husband. I’m happy where I am in life. I don’t want to backstab, or climb a ladder. I exist to love, to be there for my children and husband, and I’m fine with that. My wrinkles aren’t out of stress, but just a natural sign of aging. I’m a happy person, and I wouldn’t want to live any other way. I’m probably the most old fashion woman in this world of wickedness. But I wouldn’t have it any other way.

        1. Hi Deb,
Thank you so much for your blessings. I appreciate it so much. I really enjoyed reading your comment. So you have been married for 28 years, that’s great! Nice too that you are able to stay at home and take care of the home and family. I am very happy for you. 🙂 Some women seem to do very well having a career, husband and family but I am more of a traditionalist. If it’s possible to be able to stay home it’s always better for the family.

        2. “old fashion women”, it’s a lost art Deb. Today’s mom’s responsibility? “You want fries with that?” When I look around at these worthless pieces of $hit, sittin’ in their million dollar homes married to their hard working husbands and racing to the store to stay one up on the Johnsons, it makes one wonder why?

          1. You get it Millard. I worked my ass off to make our house a home. We live in a house that was the first to be built in our neighborhood circa 1905. We rent, and we did more work to this house than anyone who “owns”. My kids make me so proud. They are hard workers, and have no desire to climb up the corporate ladder. They put family first as well. I can rest knowing that I taught them well. There’s no pretense in this family. I can hug them tight. They are my life’s breath. 🙂

      2. Hey, CatFon! 🙂
        Happy Anniversary… tomorrow! 😀
Hope you’re doing well, I miss seeing your comments… 🙁

        Have a great day!

        1. Hi #1 and thank you! I am doing well and how have you been doing? How is life going in Oregon? This is your first spring there right? Has spring ‘sprung’ there? Our trees have leafed out here in TX and we will be in the 70s & 80s all week long. Bluebonnets are blooming as well as many other wildflowers like Indian Paint Brush.

You have a great day! Maybe I should comment more?? I do enjoy the comment section in the Trenches. 🙂

  6. I had to marry out of this country to find a real woman .. a traditional woman

most ( please read that again MOST) U.S. women have been ruined

thank you Henry, for saying it way better than I would have, or even could have ,, I dont need to add my family story to this post , so I’ll just leave it at that

but trust in the fact that this comes from me , out of experience , not opinion

  7. Give a woman a wand and look out! There’s some women out there I’ve met that I wish I didn’t. Just the thought of their very existence makes, me want to “buy a Buick”!

Then, you’ll meet a woman that’ll make you feel like your in 6th grade, lookin’ for that first feel of a little titty. Oh well, just waltzing down memory lane!

  8. We are to be equal genders.
Women are the center of the universe.
Without them men would not be here.
    Since we cannot reproduce.
So they have taken our Goddesses and destroyed them.
They have destroyed the sacred feminine soul of our creator God.
May I mention the “Oracle of Delphi”… where men would seek the wisdom of the Sacred Feminine Wisdom.
They still have a temple for her standing.
When men were plowing in the fields …and were hurt and laying in the dirt dying.
They always new that their wives would be there to reach out a hand and pull them out of the dirt.
Now that’s what I call true love.

  9. I believe the take-over of this country happened when after 1000’s of years women were forced out of their homes and into the workforce to help pay for the bare necessities. I was among the group of teenagers coming of age during the late ’60’s and remember arguing vehemently with a social studies teacher that I was NOT going to do that, I didn’t care what his damn statistics said! Sadly, as an unmarried woman I had no other choice but to go to work to support myself. Once I married, I had no choice again but to keep working as my spouse at the time worked in the construction industry and income was not steady. I longed to be a stay-at-home wife but unless we wanted to live in the slums, it just wasn’t possible. Now I am stay-at-home due to age and injury; no one would hire me with the unemployment rates as they are…and my age… and I love being able to be home, take care of my husband and our furry feathered children… Having done the dog-eat-dog corporate world, I am so very thankful to be at home…canning, cooking, gardening, and yes, I made by hand all my prom dresses way back when! LOL!

    1. Kitty, your words haunted me most of the night. Women being “forced” into the field was not by happenstance. It was something the rockerfellers did to generate revenue via the taxes, to tear apart the family, to give our children to the state. They wanted to keep us so busy, so we would never think about it or notice.

I’m so happy for you, you’ve embraced the simple things in life. The cooking, canning and gardening are wonderful pleasures that most people cannot wrap their heads around. I live for those everyday luxuries. Sometimes tedious, but I wouldn’t give it up for anything. 🙂

  10. Some very interesting and thought-provoking comments … I see a VERY healthy discourse here:

Isaiah, 3: 4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them. … namely: Kate Brown, Ellen Rosenblum Ginny Burdick !!!

Sed vide: Virtues of a Proverbs Woman:

10Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

11The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

12She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

13She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.

14She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar.

15She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.

16She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.

17She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

18She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.

19She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.

20She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.

21She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.

22She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.

23Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.

24She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.

25Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

26She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

27She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

28Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

29Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

30Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.ת

31Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
