Rick Perry Ended Up Greeting Obama On The Tarmac After All

Governor Rick Perry ended up greeting President Barack Obama on the tarmac in Texas after all.

Despite the Republican’s refusal of Obama’s initial invitation, Perry turned up at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport after the president agreed to a “substantive meeting” with Perry to discuss the recent surge of unaccompanied children at the U.S.-Mexico border:

A White House pool report offered details on the encounter:

Perry, in a dark suit and blue tie, stood alone for a couple minutes at the bottom of the steps, awaiting the president.

Obama walked straight to Perry, hand outstretched. They shook hands and Obama patted Perry on the back. They quickly struck up a conversation as they walked toward Marine One. Sadly, the pool was far out of range and could not hear the discussion.

According to White House press secretary Josh Earnest, the pair were set to discuss the border while en route to Dallas Love Field Airport on Marine One. Previously, Perry had criticized the president for offering what he described as a “quick handshake on the tarmac.”

Perry has been an outspoken critic of Obama’s handling of the situation at the border, suggesting that there may be some sort of conspiracy behind the increase in immigrants crossing the border illegally.

“I have to believe that when you do not respond in any way, that you are either inept, or you have some ulterior motive of which you are functioning from,” Perry said during an interview with ABC News earlier this week.

    1. Nah. They just need the public to see them together. That’s all. You know, to calm the masses. Other than that, they’ll go back to stalling and doing nothing.

  7. Former Democrat and Al Gore supporter Perry? He is NO different than Governor “MOONBEAM” Brown of California. He just has better hair and is more charismatic LIAR and higher ranking scum bag criminal, pervert, and traitor to the republic than “Flush it down BROWN”. I’m sure the POOFTA president Berry Sotorro enjoyed BOFFING Perry showing him who’s his Daddy! Perry and Bummer are both Bilderberg picks and attendees.

    If Perry were a good guy he would have showed up armed along with a bunch of Rangers to arrest that stinking SOB and any federal fool who stood in the way. Hopefully they would have all resisted. He also would have seized all of the military bases in Texas and federal assets and installations. All of them.

    It would be probably an opening shot in a war we all know is coming eventually, but would have kicked things off earlier while we still have monetary digits to unload for somethings that are useful.

  8. Nobody seems to notice that the headline for this “article” (i.e.propaganda) is misleading! Perry was supposed to meet him on the tarmac in Austin, when he first arrived in Texas. He declined. It’s traditional for a governor to meet the president “when he lands” in the state. Perry had said that he would meet the president in Dallas only to discuss the border situation. So Perry isn’t “showing up on the tarmac to greet the president after all”, he showing up at Dallas on his own terms.

      Note the slick wordplay, Gov Perry dares to question the obvious and the propagandist paints him with the conspiracy theorist paintbrush. She must believe humans just naturally form tidal waves
