When I walked here this morning, the air quality was normal (relatively speaking, that is). When I left for lunch a while ago, the breeze had changed, and all you can smell is smoke now.
All that beautiful timber gone, lot of money to be made by fighting these fires. Fires are a good thing if your a mason with a firefighting business. A bad thing if your an everyday American who loves the great outdoors.

Same as up here in western Canada – we drove through two forest fires in between Calgary, AB. & Kamloops, BC. Been smoky for two months now.
