Ted Nugent apologized for re-posting a graphic with a message about gun control that was labeled “anti-Semitic” in media reports.
Nugent’s Feb. 8 Facebook post features Israeli flags on a collage of the faces of 12 prominent Jewish Americans, and asks, “So who is really behind gun control?”
Ten days later, his assistant sent a statement to MLive, attributed to Nugent:
“Can I say oy vey? I sincerely apologize for my irresponsible re-posting of such a nasty and offensive meme,” the Feb. 18 statement reads.
“In my rush between songwriting jams and musical recording frenzy, all I saw was the images of people dedicated to disarm us, I made no connection whatsoever to any religious affiliation.
“Everyone knows deep down that at 67 years of age I didn’t suddenly become anti-Semitic. That’s patently ridiculous, and those who rushed to such a mistaken condemning judgement should re-examine the system by which such equally irresponsible knee-jerk judgments are made.”
Thousands shared Nugent’s original post that calls those pictured, former U.S. Senator Carl Levin among them, “punks” and says “they hate freedom.”
The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence asked the NRA to remove Nugent from its Board of Directors, which he has been a member of since 1995.
The NRA said in a statement, “Individual board members do not speak for the NRA.”
Jonathan A. Greenblatt of the civil rights organization, the Anti-Defamation League, called the meme Nugent posted “nothing short of conspiratorial anti-Semitism.”
“Regardless of one’s views on gun control, this kind of scapegoating of an entire religious group is completely unacceptable and completely divorced from reality,” he said.
The controversial graphic remained on Nugent’s page on Feb. 18.

Nugent folded like a cheap card table.

If that’s the case, then why do well-known Jewish publications like The Forward and Haaretz say the same thing?
And what’s wrong with the graphic? Do those people have a history of pushing for gun control, or not? And are they Jews, or are they not?

First, Jews are not defined by their religious beliefs, but by tribal affiliation based primarily on maternal lineage.
Second, no one has claimed that EVERY Jew supports gun control; that’s a strawman.
Lastly, anyone who doubts the claim that the gun control movement is led by Jews need only read what Jewish publications have to say on the matter.

ABSOLUTELY the 3rd definition is the correct one. The descendants of Shem are the S(h)emitic peoples. The Khazars who call themselves jews are, by and large, Japhetic (of the line of Japheth, another of the the three sons of Noah) in origin and lineage.
