Trenchers Say Good Bye to Diggerdan

Diggerdan died last night around 6:00 pm CST, he was a patriot absolute, a friend to all.

Dan had been sick for about a week and was planning to go see a doctor today.

Dan was born in Oregon in 1955 then moved to Wisconsin when he was a young man.  He had been living in Colfax, Wisconsin.

Dan is survived by his brother Millard.

We will sorely miss From the Trenches’ own Tommy Chong.

When Millard finds out about funeral arrangements, we will add to this notice.

  1. So sorry to lose a Patriot in these perilous times. God bless you Diggerdan, you will not be forgotten.

    1. This morning my heart is heavy after reading the news about
the passing of DiggerDan. My prayers are for his family and
friends, that the Lord will give them the strength they need to
      carry on.

Just this past week we lost a dear brother in the Lord here in the
Orlando area. The head Chaplain at the Seminole County Jail
died of a massive heart attack in his home. Very unexpected.

This should serve to show us all that we never know from day to day when it is our time to go. If you have not settled this issue with the Lord God Almighty, I urge you to do so today, by believing
on his only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Our only Hope!

My, how I will miss his posts! What a blessing it was to know him through From the Trenches.

      1. Amen 1611. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
King James Version (KJV)16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
        1 Corinthians 15:26
        King James Version (KJV)
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
May God strengthen and comfort each trencher during this loss.

        1. Hi, Katie, and thanks for using the wonderful King James Version for your verses. And thank you for posting the Scriptures.

I can never get enough of the Word of God!!

          1. 1611, you are welcome. It truly is a privilege to speak forth God’s word, for God who cannot lie(Titus 1:2) has given mankind the words of life, as well as Christ who is the way, the truth, and the life.
I too, enjoy taking in the scriptures, for this is how we come to know God and daily grow in our believing application of his word.
Grace and mercy to you and all.

  2. Your fight is over, ours is just begining . Rest in peace , your spirit will be rembered !!!

  3. Man I can’t believe this, he was 59, man he will be missed. This is sad very sad. Rip Dan.

  4. I’m sorry you missed the changes that are coming or at least learn the truth of things. Hope I can last long enough to find out for us both…RIP. Maybe you know now…

  5. I’m so saddened to hear this about Diggerdan. He will be missed and I will remember Diggerdan as a true American patriot. RIP Digger, you are one of the great Americans.

  6. 🙁

So sorry to hear of this, didnt know him well, prayers sent to him and any family

    we still got yer back!

  7. DiggerDan, I didn’t know you personally and I always looked forward to your comments. Rest now brother we will see you on the other side.
I don’t think asking what he died from is inappropriate. Does anyone know what he contacted that took him away from us?

  8. Boy, this sucks. I didn’t even know he was sick. I just always expected him to be here, and I’m real sorry to hear about this.

Requiescat In Pace, Diggerdan. You will not be forgotten.

And I didn’t know Millard was his brother, either. I’m very sorry for your loss, Millard. Dan was a good guy, and the trenches won’t be the same without him.

    1. Good to have known his presence on this board. Was a true American and friend to all on this site.

Although his body is done in its current form, his soul lives on as part of the endless universe of energy and intelligence.

See you on the flip side Dan.

      -Sam

      1. “Was a true American”

        No doubt there Sam.

Nothing short of what I consider a true American, never wavering, never sugar coating what he thought and what needed to be said.

Just not sure what else to say. He will remain active in many of us each time we visit FTT & that’s how it should be

    2. J.R., digger and I would always discuss happenings on the “Trenches” and believe me, you guys are like family to us. We both would check out the comment section and discuss the “troll of the week” award and other tremendously important items such as “Do you think Henry would post this bizarre article if we sent it in. There were numerous times when digger would call me and tell me to check out a certain comment thread where Henry would be telling people “Where the bears s#*t in the buckwheat”! Or digger would tell me to listen to a certain segment of the “Word” when Henry hammers home a good point or has just placed a troll into “spam”. It was like digger was “on patrol” joining any thread where a “regular” was dealing with a “newbie” and whether this “newbie” passed the “sniff test” for “troll of the week”. Well, I gotta let you go, digger’s going to be calling soon. Thanks JR, digger thought highly of you and we both always check out your postings and comments. See you soon on the Trenches. Millard

      1. I’m so sorry to hear about this! I was just starting to get to know Dan a little bit, as we talked briefly about living off of the grid as I do. And how much he wanted to live as I now do.
May Dan rest in peace! I looked forward to his commentary and music uploads, and I’ll surely miss him!

  9. DiggerDan was a great man. He didn’t agree with everyone and let us know about it. 🙂 But he hated no one except the NWO and the cops. He was a true American. He wanted nothing but good things for everyone. He lived a rough life, but was still a happy man. The little that I spoke to him was challenging with that heavy Wisconsin accent. He was a friend to the Trenchers and to all who knew him. I am honored that he considered me a friend. Rest brother and know that we will continue the fight.

  10. So terribly sad and shocking. Did not know him but through his
comments which were always fun and straightforward. RIP

  11. Diggerdan always let us know exactly how he felt. Always the “brutal truth” no dancing around! Will miss that. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

  12. Very sad news indeed this morning! My sincere condolences Millard and to other family perhaps not mentioned. Diggerdan will be greatly missed.
AZ flags are at half staff this morning to honor another brave Patriot and I don’t need this Masonic Governor to include Digger. I will do it myself in my heart as I view the flags at half staff. Prayers to all. Dorothy

    1. Thank you for you kind words Dorothy. As with any poster on the “Trenches” digger had his opinion and I can tell you he thought highly of your contributions to the “Trenches”. See you in the comment section soon. Millard

  13. This news breaks my heart. Digger and I were best of friends on and off FTT. I just talked to him a couple weeks ago. He was a real talker, he could go on for a couple hours at a time. I’m very sorry I’ll never get to meet him in person. This is very, very sad news. I’m really going to miss him.

    RIP, my brother.

    1. Omg, I’m in shock. I can’t believe it. #1 you and Angel wrote better than what I can say right now…………
Gonna Miss You Digger!!! My Brother and Friend.
Millard I know how much Digger thought of you and your kids. Prayers and hugs to you and your family.
      Miss you much Digger! <3

Rest in peace Digger _()_ miss you…………………………..

    2. #1, Digger introduced us and I remember the day we talked on the phone. I would like you to consider allowing Henry to send phone numbers/e-mail addresses. I never worried about it because digger had all the info. Well, it’s gone now. Take care brother, I’ll see you soon in the comment section. Millard

      1. Sorry for taking so long to reply, Millard. Been really zoned the last few days. Haven’t been on The Trenches much at all. I asked Henry to send you the info earlier today.

  14. This is so sudden and shocking. May you now be at peace digger. You will sorely be missed by all.

Millard, my sincerest condolences to you in your time of grief. I’m so very sorry for your loss.

  15. We all have a time to be born and a time to die, yet is never any less shocking when we hear of a friend or family member passing away. I have always enjoyed DiggerDan’s comments and postings here on the Trenches. I too had no idea that Millard was his brother. My deepest condolences to Millard and the entire family. Rest in peace DiggerDan, we’ll see you on the other side!

      1. I apologize for misunderstanding what was written in the entry, I understand now. He was a true patriot and a good friend to all of us here at the Trenches. We’re all going to miss him. He went way too soon and most unexpectedly. All we can do now is be thankful for all the memories he left us with and we most certainly celebrate his life.

        1. Thank you for your kind words Sunfire. Digger and I enjoyed, and I will continue to enjoy the “banter” in the comment section we both have had with you. Your brother in arms, Millard

  16. OMG
    Thats terrible.
I really liked Diggerdan and always looked for his thoughts and comments here on FTT. My heart goes out to his family.
Its never easy to lose a friend or family member. Even if it was an online pal you never met in person.
I was hoping Diggerdan and #1 would start a weekly pod cast or youtube show. The comedy was over the top. You are already missed Diggerdan. May it be better than you hoped.

  17. OMG! ……..I can’t believe this. Digs was one of my favorite people to talk to. I was just talking to him last week. I can’t believe this. I don’t know what to say….I’m shocked.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Millard and the rest of Digs family. May God be with Digs and may he truly rest in peace. I’m sure gonna miss him. He was one of the first guys I talked to when coming on to this site. A true patriot and one who I enjoyed having as a friend. At least he’s in a better place now.

    Rest in peace, my friend….

  18. We for sure have lost a great man who had no fear at all of telling like it is.Rest in peace digger and when the shit does hit the fan I only hope that we all can make you proud. Death and destruction to all of those traitorous trash that you constantly warned us all about!

  19. Milliard, may God give you strength and comfort to deal with this loss.
God bless you in the name of Jesus Christ.
If any of us have a need, let’s get the word out if it’s alright, and pray for each other.
God’s will is for us to be healed. Christ always did the will of God. He went about healing all that were sick, diseased, blind, etc..

  20. OMG!!! I’m in absolute shock. I just spoke to him about a week ago. I don’t know what to say. Must wipe away the tears. Rest in Peace my Dear, Loyal, & Trusting Friend. You are missed.

  21. Rest in peace Brother. It won’t be the same without you. With a heavy heart I bid you farewell.

  22. …I enjoyed DD’s direct, honest, angry opinion about everything he witnessed and experienced in his life…sorry to have him leave us so soon…I hope he has found a bit of tranquility wherever he has gone…

    Bobby Joe

  23. Thank you all for your kind words. I know digger is logged in to the Trenches from beyond. I will surely miss my friend and brother in arms.

    Sincerely, Millard

    1. Millard, if there is anything we can do for ya at this time, let us know. God Bless! Our thoughts and prayers are with ya.

  24. RIP Diggerdan. Too young to pass on. We cannot afford to lose these good patriots. Especially the older ones who still have the knowledge of what really goes on in this country and are able to pass that knowledge on to the younger ones. Because the psychopathic elite will get every chance they can to go after your young. That’s how sick and twisted they are.

  25. He was having digestive problems and pain. I had to work last night and at 4:00 P.M. I gave him a call and he said he was in a lot of pain. I wanted to take him to the Doc but then he said, “I think I’m dying.” He made it 2 more hours and when he didn’t answer I was hoping he was just sleeping but he knew something I didn’t. Yes, I’m sure going to miss him. I almost expect to see a comment or a post.

    1. 🙁 Thanks, Millard. Yes, I keep expecting see a post or get a phone call.
What will happen to Brian and his kitty (can’t remember his name)? The last time I spoke to Dan, they each jumped in his lap and spoke to me. LOL
Stay strong in this time of pain and deep sorrow. We are with you, Bro.

      1. Angel NYC, digger spoke of you often and looked forward to your next phone call. I’m 3 hours away over in Green Bay with all my kids, who knew Dan well. We laughed and cried shared many stories in our lives and the impact he had on it. I’m still in shock and it will eventually hit pretty hard. We talked daily and I’m waiting for his call. We all will miss him. Thank you for your kind and thoughtful words. Millard

        1. Yes, I understand. When each of my parents passed, it didn’t hit me until later. Believe me, it will hit and it will come out of nowhere, when you least expect it.
Though we are spread by distance, we are here for you Millard. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. I told Paul that it was OK to give you my email address (thought digger already had given it to you).

  26. My sincere condolences to you, Millard. You knew him better than any of us.

Digger had a temper, and occasionally he would take a comment the wrong way. But when it was pointed out to him, he would always man up and apologize. I really respected him for that.

    He had a good heart.

  27. Oh my goodness what a shock, and I didn’t know him….he was certainly an original thinker, I will miss his commentary.
    Sympathies to his family.

  28. Thanks for the great music, Digger. 🙂 You know I mean that — one of the best parts of your being here on FTTWR. Things will not be the same without you around. You have meant a lot to me.

I really liked you a lot and so sorry we never got a chance to meet in person. Maybe on the other side, right?

Digger’s presence here and comments have had a big impact on me. I could always tell he was a man with a heart full of compassion and love, focus on what’s important. He gave a lot to us, bless him and rest his soul.

Millard, I am very sorry for the loss of your dear brother.

  29. Millard, I am so very sorry for your loss. DiggerDan’s passing seems so sudden, it feels as though he has been taken from us, and I am shocked and very saddened. He was straightforward and his words were straight from the heart. I miss him and his comments already, and I will think on how he would have seen clear and simple truths in events that pass our way day by day.

I become what I might be.” – Lao Tzu

    1. Thank you for your kind words Sunfire. Digger and I enjoyed, and I will continue to enjoy the “banter” in the comment section we both have had with you. Your brother in arms, Millard

  30. my throat keeps seizing up and the tears keep coming. I haven’t been this heartbroken since I lost my mother. He is truly, and literally a brother, though not related. This has left a void in my life that cannot be filled. My heart is sick, and my eyes are filled. He honored me with his friendship, trust, and respect. I have never met a MAN like him, and probably never will. We had a closeness that cannot be explained. He is in my heart and mind permanently, and will never leave.

    1. Paul and Millard, Digger Loved You guys so very much. We will all miss him, but I know you guys are in some very very deep pain and for that I am truly sorry. I know that he is in a better place, that he can truly find peace now. Digger had a really great heart and he touched a lot of people’s lives.

      1. Thanks Missy, your words of kindness touch my heart as my loss is shared with so many good people, family you might say. Thank you

  31. Was just thinking earlier today how many acquaintances were moving on recently. I guess when you reach a certain age, you begin to appreciate the time you have here on this rock a little bit more. Obviously, Digger was needed somewhere else.

RIP, Digger. And peace to his family and friends.

  32. You don’t know me DiggerDan, but you made me feel good when I posted dumb comments. I remember the smiley faces you left for my lame jokes.
These tears are for you man- hope to see you some day. RIP till then.

  33. Just heard …..
Dan will be missed…but not forgotten.
He always had something nice to say to me.
We’ll be one man short on the front line.
I am confident he would love to be on the
front lines when the time comes………
We’ll just have to drop a few for him.

  34. God be with his family and friends. Expecting to read his comments will be a trend that will be selfishly hard to get over. Rest brother. The flag shall be carried. Death to the nwo.

  35. God’s love and healing to Diggers family and friends, I did not know him but I will miss his comments for sure. R.I.P. Digger Dan

  36. Hey Digger, give us some intel on the sons-o-bitches from the other side!

Seriously rip brother, god speed and give em heck wherever you are.
was cool to read your posts here.

  37. Dammit, that just really sucks to say the least.I enjoyed his posts and thoughts though we came many times to disagreement online feel even then the discussions good.I will really miss his music posts,he obviously realized in challenging times that humor and good music were a necessity to keep ones spirits up.
Digger, hope the game is abundant and the fish running strong where ever you are and may the sun be always at your back,RIP.

  38. Rest in peace Diggerdan…your trip is just beginning.
Enjoy yourself and happy high times.

  39. Very sad news.. I chatted with diggerdan a few times in the Pub. Life is so short. I will miss his awesome attitude and humour.

  40. Oh my goodness, what a shock! My condolences to Millard and the rest of Digger’s family.

I’m sad to see you leave us Digger, but so happy you got your wings. And thanks for all the tips and advise you gave me on how to grow my own sprouts. See you when I get there.

I think Digger knew. He posted this yesterday.

    . . .

  41. No matter who called who, if I called Digger at 2 o’clock in the morning or 1 o’clock in the afternoon (So it gave us a bit of time to talk before “The Word”- and we joked we were worse than ol’ ladies that had to watch our soaps- lol it is true!) telling him what was going on in my life, from losing house to anything. He was there, always there, always. He lifted me up, tho it worked both ways sometimes. Brother you lifted me up, I can’t believe you are not there anymore dammit! Heres to you, missing you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yfwlj0gba_k

        1. Thanks Missy, your words of kindness touch my heart as my loss is shared with so many good people, family you might say. Thank you

    1. RT, I can say cudos girlfriend. I remember in the pub one day, digger was worried about you, I asked who is RT? He said the sweetest person on earth, you will Love her. Digger truly cared for you. That song was awesome. man I miss him. But please know RT he Loved you, he was a great man. And yes you are a great woman just like he said.

      1. Missy, Thank you. I will meet him in my next life again. It seems, from what I have found in this life we know people from our soul. Why we are here, much love to you and Bulldog. Thank you again <3

      1. Dan and I never said “goodbye.” We always said “See ya in the Trenches.”
(Had to look up what “<3" means. I don't "text" and don't know the lingo. LOL Now, I know 🙂 )
        <3 RT

        1. Love, dissapointed smileys don’t include that here.
Mine _()_ prayers and blessings, when you see that.

  42. The good ones die young…God bless you Dan! . I will miss you and your good humor… See you on the other side….

  43. First, I had no idea that Millard and DiggerDan are brothers. Now I feel even worse. I don’t deal with these things very well. Say hello to my wife, D/D… Millard, man I am very sorry for your loss!

Farmer, you may have hit on something as a possibility… it may even have been something else such as hole(s) in the stomach or bowel area. I’ve read that these things can be caused by certain medications.
I don’t remember what meds. do this; I’m surprised that I even remember at all.

  44. Millard,
I’m so sorry that you lost your best friend and brother. I personally believe that you will see him on the other side. My thoughts are with you and your family.

To all the Trenchers who posted such nice words about Dan – I wished that I too knew him, but I echo your thoughts about appreciating his wit, courage, and determination.
