An Arizona man was shot to death by police Tuesday while holding his grandson.
Police say 50-year-old John Loxas was holding his grandchild in his arms as he walked around his Scottsdale neighborhood Tuesday night threatening neighbors and police.
“There were at least three officers in position to engage the suspect. At least one of the officers thought he saw something in the suspect’s hands,” said Sgt. Mark Clark.
Loxas was standing outside of his home with his grandchild still in his arms when Officer James Peters fired one shot to the head, killing the suspect.
Police say the 9-month-old boy was not injured during the shooting.
Officers also escaped unharmed.
Some neighbors are now questioning the officers actions.
Investigators say the officers on the scene thought Loxas was holding a gun.
Detectives did not find a weapon on Loxas following the shooting, but did locate several firearms inside the home.
Officer Peters, who fired the fatal shot, has been involved in seven shootings over the past decade. Six of those have been fatal, and all have been ruled justified.
Yea and that is all a damned cop has to say is I “thought” that I saw a weapon. And this cop was involved in 7 shootings with 6 of them fatal?, WTF, and they say that they were all justified? Yea right………… I just thought of that article I posted the other day of tha Wi. man that got 80 yr.s in prison for shooting 2 cops and he didn`t even kill them cops and those cops are back being cops now………… This is one of those homicidle cops that just wants to shoot to kill.
This is truly sad. Obviously, this POS moron of a cop wasn’t ‘thinking of the child’ before he killed his unfortunate grandfather. He could have just as easily killed the child as well.
Hopefully, the stupid b#tch of a neighbor who called this in, receives the same treatment as payment for her stupidity.
The cop probably witnessed a baby bottle in the dude’s hand.

I love how they always say the police “escaped unharmed” as if they were trying desperately to escape and JUST BARELY made it out with their heroistic honorable lives. Whew!! That was a close one!! Good thing I gots me a shot off before i got squirted with formula. Lets go get us a doughnut!!

What are these cops going to do when they begin to engage men and woman who are old enough…or ill enough..to not care anymore…? Ha…that will be a interesting day indeed…
