It seems that there has always been an “us against them” culture among law enforcement at all levels — wherein, with the badge and gun prominently displayed, officers expect to be “obeyed”, unquestioned and even feared by the public “commoners”.
Post 911, Homeland Security and with “terrorists” all around us, it’s only gotten worse.
With the explosion of cameras in the hands of the public and the willingness to use them, expect more and more police misconduct to be exposed — and some of it isn’t going to be pretty.
I remain hopeful that, over time, law-enforcement communities will begin to conduct themselves routinely as though they were on video — honorably, appropriately and with sensible restraint.
I think its time we go covert
dont let them know they are being recorded,, we get a way better picture of who they really are when they think no one is watching.. and it protects us better .. F what they think
my cell phone camera lens fits nicely in some of my shirt pockets button hole
both hands are free, and i can act like im nobody for them to be concerned with , yet video is rolling
I’ve even stood fairly close to traffic stops of people i dont even know ,( audio was also captured just fine) recording the event .. just in case the victim needs some proof in a court
