What a great song – especially sung by a man of color.
Yes we could all learn from this song I think – especially now days.
Thank you for putting this song up guys.
I think it is a awesome song I do. 🙂
Strangely, this song seems like the anthem for some ominous form of Doom and Gloom about to express itself. Maybe it’s because it was in one of the episodes from the original “Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy” that spawned that thought in my mind.
What a great song by an American national treasure. My take on the song was just the opposite of ominous doom and gloom. I took it to be positive, uplifting and with a promise children growing up in a more peaceful world:
“The colors of the rainbow, are so pretty in the sky,
Are also on the faces, of people passing by,
I see friends greeting friends, saying ‘how do you do’.
they’re really saying, ‘I love you’
I hear young babies cry, I watch them grow,
they’ll learn much more, than I’ll ever know,
And I say to myself, what a wonderful world”
