Why do they fight in a war that they know is a lie?

Why in the Hell would the troops and contractors continue to go to these wars knowing that they are lies? I believe it is for numerous reasons. Most of these guys joined up as young men that are very impressionable. Today they play all of the combat simulator games on xbox and playstation and want to go do it for real. They don’t have a real clue what combat is gonna be like they just want to try it. They live in a culture of violence and it becomes something that is desired because of the fake glory that is associated with death and warfare.  

I joined the Army because of the Vietnam guys, I wanted to be like them. I saw all of the movies and believed it would be like that. I was a child and knew no better. They train us from basic training on that the ultimate test will be if we get sent to a war. We are lead to believe that we should desire that. The reason for the war doesn’t matter. It is just the need to go and fight, to prove ourselves. We saw the guys with the combat patches and all of the BS ribbons on their Class A uniform and envied them. When we finally got the chance to go, we jumped at the chance to prove ourselves.

I went to Desert Storm as a loader on a tank. I did my job well and was rewarded with ribbons on my chest and pats on my back. The ego grows after that. I went to Iraq in 2003 as a tank commander. Once again they reward you with ribbons on your chest and pats on your back. But this time was different. I was older and more mature. I didn’t want any of it. These younger guys are looking for the “respect” and are given it to keep them motivated. They feed on it.

The guys you have to watch out for are the guys who want to go back or the guys who go back as contractors for three times the money. They are awake to the truth and still desire the fight. That is in my opinion a mercenary. They have chosen a side.  We will have to fight them the same as we will fight the people that wish to rule us. These “civilian warriors” that do it for the money are no better than the enemy they desire to fight. Anyone who can go overseas and kill for the money indiscriminately, is someone that will come back to America and work for DHS, et al and kill us the same way. Sorry if this hurts anyone’s feelings, but the truth is the truth. I had to accept my truth, it is time they do as well.

We need to get our heads wrapped around the fact that the enemy is in the wire and we see them daily. This will be worse than the war of Northern Aggression. (yes, I do believe the South was justified in forming their own country) There will be no front line. It will be as Mel said in the Patriot, “fought amongst our homes and our children will learn of it with their own eyes”. I just hope that we as Americans have the stomach for it.

The force they are trying to array against Patriots will have experienced killers in their ranks. They will have pilots flying that begged for the chance to shoot. We have all seen the gun camera footage. They will continue to train the young troops that killing is to be desired and it doesn’t matter who they kill as long as they follow orders. There will be no shortage of volunteers to fight the evil insurgents. It will not matter if they are Americans or not.  I just pray that enough have awakened and left the military and are preparing as we all are.

  1. Well said.I believe many also join because they have not taken the time to look beyond msm and form their patriotism on a false premise. Their intentions may be true and their hearts tell them they do it for us but TPTB have designed their machine to act AGAINST us. The more that wake up and see through the lies will hopefully bring about the change we truly need!

    I have a gal at work that spews how those that didn’t sign up or get drafted to VN or any military service are not “Men”
    supposedly her Daddy was a P-51 pilot and an Officer WW2..bla bla bla and her brother that got so messed up in Viet Nam but he’s still a “Good Man” bla Bla Bla..

    and at like 65 or so years old, she still doesn’t get it, or cant possibly be woke up..
    Some people you just cant reach, so you get what we had here yesterday, which is the way he wants it , so he gets it..etc..

    Also War is a racket, it pays these people and Contractors big money to go kill others, its a job now,its not about patriotism , because it never really ever was, and theres no jobs here..so join the armed forces and get paid to kill people in other countries where you wont be thrown in prison for being a murderer , Im not advocating im just pointing out how they sell it, and why punk ass brats go for it, power sells it

    the Military is a financial thug arm of this government, the financial arm that goes and takes from another country or person under the threat of death to steal resources for the bankers ,and corp America period. Who in their right mind would want to be a part of that if they give one shit about humanity?, and than to just have the same military that USED you treat you like shit after your of no use to them..

  3. Most people that I know are getting ready for it in one way or another. Mostly getting ready for the final stages of the planned financial collapse which will bring us face to face with martial law troops whether foreign or domestic. Either way, there will be armed conflict on the streets of America. Best be getting your beans, bullets, and bandaids in order.

    I do have a Marine friend who is retiring soon and he said that he gives all of his “dumb as a box of rocks” troops a pocket Constitution and tries to teach them about their oaths to it and to We the people. He says right now it is about at a 50/50 level as far as keeping their oaths and siding with We the people. but, that everyday more and more are waking up and will take a stand for We the people when the time comes

      I hope we get 50/50. The problem we face is that guys like your friend that is retiring aren’t being replaced with Constitutional Troops. For every one good guy that leaves a bad one is trained.

Yeah, I agree with you on that Bulldog to a certain extent, but with all of the watchman out their now on the internet, social media and alternative news these youngsters do have a clue what is going on now a days. Most of them joining the military are only doing it because there are no other jobs out there. I have youngsters running in and out of this house all day long and they hear my talk radio blaring all the time, and we talk. My 22 year old son even has two published books and working on a 3rd right now, though fiction they are all about the NWO, Illuminati, SHTF, stories of survival. All of his friends are wide awake, and know something is wicked this way is coming. These other kids I know are buying AK’s, AR’s and 1000k ammo at a time and totally getting ready. Once things break loose all of the other straggler kids will fall into the ranks of We the people with a little kick in the ass – Wake up dumb ass, we got a war to fight, for our lives, our homes, our way of life, right now. We can use that military video game training that they have been playing since before they could walk, to our benefit. hehe That’s the way, I see it.

        I buy, sell, and trade a lot of survival tools, here and there. Like generators, chainsaws, trailers, log splitter parts, pea shooters, etc. and I run into a lot of military guys getting ready for SHTF. We talk, they are getting ready and we promised to check back with each other WTSHTF for organizational purposes. I think that We the People are going to do very well when the time comes. There are more of us then we know. Every knows from history that when the times comes that We the people have no choice but to stand.

  5. My friends, I’m afraid it will be the older generation over say, 50 that are going to be the main fighting force if this goes down. With the schools dumbing down the younger generation it will be a wake up call for them. We know what the constitution says as they for the most part don’t even know what it is. As far as the troops go, it is going to be a geographic location of growing up as to their allegiance. If they were raised in the hills of Kentucky as apposed to say east LA that will make a difference on how they view things and where their allegiance is. The old saying “you can lead a horse to water,but you can’t make him drink” is going to apply here. I’m not as worried about the troops as I am the general population as to where they stand, as there is more gen pop than troops. Remember over half of our troops are outside of the country with no way to get home if this goes down,leaving the gov to enlist outside help,ie, UN troops.

    Don’t be to hard on the men and women that are in the military. They joined for different reasons, financial,school bill, and a host of other reasons. I spent fifteen years in until I woke up (I’m a slow learner). It’s sometimes hard to get up the courage to go down that rabbit hole to find that all you’ve been told is a lie and be able to live with that. Believe me there are those in the military that will never wake up because they don’t want to and those are the ones we will deal with when the time comes.

      Yeah, I am a slow learner as well. I’ve been in the entrance to a few rabbit holes and backed out several times. Finally, (mostly with Missy’s help) I have headed into the rabbit holes. It’s like drinking a pot of coffee and a redbull!

Nice article Bulldog – I’ve tried to tell my kids about sitting in the movie theater foolishly watching WW2 stuff back in the early 60’s – and thinking, as you say, just how neat it would be to “hero out” – but for me, it wasn’t long before I got a hell of a dose of reality, in beautiful downtown Southeast Asia – now at 66, I make a few attempts, every once in a while, to convey just how completely sickening war can be –
    My best advice to the younger ones now: Aside from the Banks, there are only two sides to every war: The losers AND the other losers
    And as you infer in your article: I also fear that the future holds a battle right here.

Michael is getting ready to retire, I am thinking from a government job or something closely related, he has so much info. He talked about the energy ball and what is behind it, it is 3 AU wide, coming in from the south. He said read Isaiah 13 along with the 6th seal, plus read all of Joel. He also said keep an eye on Australia, when cern starts back up. Also straight line winds, more intense lightning, major storms. I Love this guy, is he the Archangel?           3. Missy, Yeah, I have been listening for about 3 weeks. If I was anyone on from the trenches here, I would go back and listen to all of BP Earthwatche’s shows so you can get up to speed and then click “follow” link on his BTR show and listen to him everytime he has a show. At least when ever Michael and Anthony are on.
            And yeah, Missy… Some of the stuff Michaels says makes me wonder if he is Michael the Archangel. I have thought that probably 10 times. He is also a regular caller into The Hagmann and Hagmann Report. He is always blowing people away with the info he has. He must be way, way, way high up in some science part of our gov’t. Not to mention a man of God who not only knows his Bible, but knows all of the ancient text to boot. I could listen to him 24 hrs a day. He is retiring within the next couple months and says he is coming forward to tell all. Him and a few others have started a website, with a chatroom, and they are going to go into intense Bibles study and current events that will blow us away.

  9. Have to disagree. I was a contractor from 2004 to 2013… I’ve been in Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay.

    Grouping all contractors into the preconceived “Blackwater” model shows only ignorance. Claiming people like myself and my friends are “the enemy” is offensive… if anything, the majority of us are going to be the ones who have ‘real time’ experiences that will keep a LOT of sheeple alive…

    Did I ‘pull the trigger?’ Hell yes. Did I ACTIVELY go looking ‘for the sh!t? No. If anything you overlook the very fact that the majority of us started out not going ‘for the money’ but because we specifically believed the B.S. (like 98% of the American People) and went to support the troops and hell yeah, make some real money.

    Money is like heroin. I needed my fix. Mama has to have a roof over her head, and the kids need shoes, the mortgage need payment and the car needs to be paid off. 100K doesn’t and DIDN’T go very far in this crappy economy…. By Obama’s theory, I was barely middle class….

    The really offensive thing is you don’t distinguish between the “mercs” and contractors…I went and oversaw the building of the CIF (central issue facility) at VBC in Baghdad so we could resupply the troops with clothing in the Baghdad A.O. so they wouldn’t have to convoy to Balad and risk the run up Route Tampa. How does this make me the “enemy?”

    Just because a few times on Route Irish I HAD no choice but to ‘get into it’ this makes me a bad guy? How many of my friends got torched running invaluable fuel for KBR (both TCN and US Citizens) to run your gas guzzling tank? (Without which your sorry DAT ass would have been nothing more than a worthless “die in place” bunker mind you)

    Don’t add us to the enemies list… it’s a sore miscalculation…

    The majority of the “civilian warriors” you speak of for the most part and of my knowledge were soldiers from the former East Germany, former soviet troops and a smattering of ‘others’ primarily consisting of Ghurkas and such.

    Were there the ‘roided out former U.S. Spec-Ops freakazoid a$$holes? Of course. Its just like any other organization… just like preppers, you have a certain percentage of douche-monkeys.

    Just don’t make the mistake of being so overbearing and righteous in your trying to cast ALL contractors into your caste of being the enemy… to be honest, you sound like you never really talked to or dealt with any of us ‘common contractors’ during your time in Iraq… either that our you’re bitter towards us for A) having made more than you and b) that we didn’t sell or give you a bottle of Jack when you asked for it…

    Third screw you and your assumption that I needed you to get my fuel. Like I said, my year (2003-2004)was a no contractor year. No contractor brought me any fuel. We never had the luxury of that. Hell, I didn’t have a fricken cot to sleep on for 9 months.
    #4, Momma needs a roof? so does mine. I know what Iraq is about and the roof I provide will never be on money from that shithole again.

Justifying needing money to pillage someone else is sad and also a sad argument. “following orders” or “doing what I had to do” didn’t fly at Nuremberg and people refuse to accept that as an exculpatory argument for what they believe the Germans did.     It was for that very reason I never registered for the draft. I’ve never had the urge to kill anyone who wasn’t trying to kill me, my family, or my countrymen.

    As you stated, Bulldog, you were young, impressionable, and believed the lies and propaganda. Understandable.

    I’m just glad I didn’t, or I might not be here now typing this.
