Truth Revolt – by Bradford Thomas
Despite virulent pushback in the Twittersphere, CNN aired Chris Cuomo’s interview with George Zimmerman Monday morning on “New Day.” During the interview Zimmerman called himself a scapegoat for the political purposes of the “government, the president, the attorney general.”
After Zimmerman explained that he intended to pursue a career as an attorney so that he could help ensure that the same injustice that was enacted upon him would not happen to other law-abiding citizens, Cuomo pushed Zimmerman to explain how he believed he was a victim of injustice.
Zimmerman: The fact that two law enforcement entities stated that I acted within the laws of our nation in self-defense.
Cuomo: You don’t think it was about the law?
Zimmerman: I know it wasn’t, yes.
Cuomo: And what does that make you?
Zimmerman: Like a scapegoat.
Cuomo: A scapegoat for…?
Zimmerman: The government, the president, the attorney general.
Cuomo: They would be scapegoating you why? Just to show that they’re taking a position on something that matters to a lot of people?
Zimmerman: I don’t know what they’re thinking or why they are thinking it. All I know is that they’re doing it.
At another point in the interview, Zimmerman also insisted that he too was a victim of violence in the situation:
Zimmerman: I certainly was a victim was I was having my head bashed into the concrete and my nose broken and beaten…
Cuomo: What do you say to people who say you were acting as vigilante?
Zimmerman: I don’t focus on them. I deal with their hatred by loving my supporters more.
Cuomo also asked Zimmerman what he thought about those who were “supporting you for the wrong reason” because “they liked that a young black man had been killed.”
Zimmerman: Equally disgusted with them as I was with those saying negative things about me.
Cuomo followed by asking if any of this ever made him doubt himself. To which Zimmerman answered emphatically no, citing his faith, and stating that in the end God is his only judge.

Ha Ha Just look at that zimmerman puss boy.
Did he ever loose his rights to own a firearm now would anyone know? Just wonderin`.
And to think he wants to be a attourny – guess that that is my morning dose of humor LMAO for sure. Zimmerman is funny thinking he would be a good attourney imoo.
I live in the same town as his home he originally wanted to be a cop but that never happened. This is the first time the attorney thing came up.
I do agree with the author here he was used the government to stir up trouble and perhaps start a race war anything to take the focus from Wall Street and the FED goings on. It was evident by the picture of Travon. He didn’t look anything like the one the media used. He was much older and larger.
Let’s be fair about this. There was nothing unusual here these events take place all over the country frequently only it is never brought to light. This story got way out of proportion and many theories were thrown out for the public to consume.
Someone in the government bussed in people to start trouble and perhaps start a race war at one of the outdoor memorials. Many there told of this but it didn’t work and the media shunned the story. Locally it was covered and the people there repelled the groups and they went away having failed in their mission.
Reality sucks to the government.
Yes GrinNBarrett, I agree that he was a scape goat for the govt. to stir up a race war or something devious like that.
I also think though that because he wanted to be a cop that he deeserves every thing he gets imoho – there are far too many arrogant cops that think that they are above the law and it appears that zimmerman would easily have been one. I mean look at his daddy being a judge, we all know that a judges kid rarely ever gets charged for anything they do especially when your daddy is the kind judge his dad was – I forget what kind of judge his dad was but he was not a average type of judge.
I do know that I would never want him representing me as my attorney.
