Freedom Outpost – by Tim Brown
An Arkansas State Senator attempted a grandstanding moment as the state pursued a new gun law. She claimed that God “does not tell me that I have a fundamental right to carry a gun.”
State Sen. Stephanie Flowers said, “Where I’m from, the God I serve does not tell me that I have a fundamental right to carry a gun” as Senate Bill 724 exempts college sports stadiums, teaching hospitals, and day cares from having to allow guns inside their facilities.
While Flowers was impassioned in her speech, she fails to realize the fact that the God of the Bible, who clothed Himself in human flesh exhorted his disciples, “But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one” (Luke 22:36).
“By the way,” Flowers added, “I know Afghani veterans, and they don’t all support this bill and these other bills that we’ve been passing here, talking about carrying guns in bars where people are drinking. They don’t believe that. They are peaceable people, loving people.”
What difference does it make what Afghani veterans think or support about the right to keep and bear arms. That is a God-given right, which has been recognized not only in the Bible, even from the lips of the Lord Jesus Christ, but also in our Declaration of Independence and US Constitution.
“So don’t tell me about no damn everybody got to have a gun,” Flowers continued. “Go to hell with your guns. I’m voting for the damn bill. I don’t want to.”
Well, considering that her mouth should be washed out with soap, one has to wonder who exactly her “god” is.
Flowers mentioned that her brother served in Vietnam and her sister who was killed by gun fire. However, while we can sympathize with her grief and pain, we cannot restrict the rights of the people to keep and bear arms.
Senate Bill 724 will amend the newly passed House Bill 1249, signed into law last month as Act 562, and will allow college sports stadiums and teaching hospitals to submit security plans to Arkansas State Police.
“Senate Bill 724 allows college stadiums for games to submit a security plan to the Arkansas State Police and lay out here’s what we’re going to do to protect folks at the game,” said Rep. Charlie Collins.
Act 562 will take effect Sept. 1 and calls for Arkansas State Police to formulate a firearms training program within 120 days of that date. Universities and other public organizations will have input in the training.
The amendment passed the Senate Friday morning after it passed the House on Thursday. It now heads to the Governor for his signature.
and NO man can tell me I can’t
She don’t want to carry then that’s her option.
Hey, do what ever you think your god wants you to do
My god is telling me your god isn’t paying attention, and he’s also telling me to arm up and harden my security
It is our duty to God to protect ourselves, our wives and our families with the best means available. This woman is insane, a misogynist and evil.
I don’t need God to tell me I have a right to have guns. I just need my common sense to tell me that if other mortal men (including soldiers and police) have guns, then I have just as much right to have guns. No human being(s) are born with special rights.
“State Sen. Stephanie Flowers said, “Where I’m from, the God I serve does not tell me that I have a fundamental right to carry a gun”
That’s because being a politician, the ‘god’ YOU serve is spelled with a lower case ‘g’. His proper title is Satan, and you can ‘serve’ him for all eternity in Hell, scumbag POS commie jewb#tch!
