We often wonder what the Tribulation will be like and considering the hour we find ourselves in, this is an extremely important topic. Ecclesiastes 1:9tells us, “that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” This scripture is stating history repeats itself. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ proclaimed, “Behold, I have foretold you all things,” (Mark 13:23). While 1 Corinthians 10:11 tells us, the accounts in the Bible are “ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.”
As Christ stated, He has already told us all things. While the accounts in the Bible are our examples of how the Tribulation will be. Further, we were told there is nothing new under the sun. That means we already have an example of how the Tribulation will be for us. With that having been said, let us open the scriptures and seek out His Word.
Before we start our Bible study, let us ask our Father for wisdom and understanding of His Word, in Jesus Name amen.
Please turn your Bible to Matthew 24 where Jesus Christ explains how it will be on earth right before His return.
Matthew 24:37
37 “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
There is no great mystery here. Christ has just stated, His return will be like the days of Noe which is Greek for Noah.
Matthew 24:38
38 “For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,”
Who were eating, drinking and marrying? The people of the earth, including the fallen angels which we will document shortly.
Matthew 24:39
39 “And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
In Genesis 9:12-15 God promised He would never flood the earth again, our token of that promise is the rainbow. So we know Christ is not speaking of a literal flood. Rather, Christ is talking about the flood of lies and deception Satan will shower on the earth during the Tribulation. The accounts of this fact are numerous in God’s Word. The false messiah, Satanand his angels will appear in Jerusalem claiming to be Jesus Christ and His Angels which is a flood of lies (2 Thessalonians 2).
As the scriptures tell us, Satan “shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. And with the arms of a flood” the world will “be overflown from before”, Satan who is the father of lies (Daniel 11:21-22, John 8:44). Satan is the “prince of the covenant”(covenant = Satan’s Tribulation agreement with world leaders) who will obtain the keys to the world kingdom by the flood of lies which issue out of his mouth (Daniel 9:26-27,Revelation 12:15-16, 13:5). Satan will in fact use his supernatural abilities to deceive the world into believing he is Christ by making “fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,” as one example (Revelation 13:13).
Matthew 24:40-41
40 “Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.”
41 “Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.”
What is the subject? The flood of Noah. What did Christ say? The Tribulation will be as in the days of Noah. So who are these that are taken from the field and mill? It is the people who are swept away by Satan’s flood of lies and deception. Just as the people who were swept away by the flood in the days of Noah. The people who remain in the field and mill are they who continue to work for Christ, those who continue to reflect His Light. They are the very Elect of God who will be protected from the end times flood of Satan.
Now that we have laid some ground work and we understand the return of Christ will be as it was in the days of Noah. It is now up to us to find out exactly what the days of Noah were like and how it relates to the coming Tribulation. Please turn your Bible to,
Genesis 6:1
1 “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,”
The word “men” used in verse one and two has the “article” in the ancient Hebrew language meaning specifically “the man Adam,” (Appendix 14 I) not “mankind“. We are talking about Adam’s offspring multiplying on the face of the earth.
We should note, Adam was not formed until Genesis 2:7 where the word “man” has the “article” and “particle” meaning “this very, this same” man Adam on what we will call the eighth day. While “mankind” itself which includes all of the races were created on the sixth day where “man” is used without the “article” and “particle” (Genesis 1:26).
Genesis 6:2
2 “That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.”
The “sons of God” are in fact the angels as Job 2:1 will document. Specifically, “the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation.” These angels left Heaven and came to earth to intermix with the offspring of Adam, becoming “fallen angels” (Jude 1:6). The fallen angels did this in an attempt to destroy the blood line of Adam as this is the blood line that Christ would come through. This was the strategy of Satan since the Garden of Eden.
Genesis 6:4
4 “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.”
What days? The days of Noah. Why were there giants which is to say Nephilim in the earth? Because, instead of being born of woman the fallen angels left Heaven and came to earth to impregnate the women of Adam’s genealogy in an attempt to pollute the bloodline that Christ would come through which failed.
We are given a further description of these giants. We are told they were “mighty men,” “gibbor” in the Hebrew language, meaning they were superhuman and extremely large in stature. In 1 Samuel 17:4-7 we are told the giant named Goliath stood six cubits in height which is approximately 10½ to 12½ feet in height (notice six, Satan’s number). The giants were “men of old,” meaning they had memories and knowledge of the world that was, the first earth age. God simply could not allow the giants to continue to roam the earth bringing forth this knowledge of old which is one of the reasons why He brought forth the flood. While humans are born innocent into this world with no memories of Heaven or the world that was in order to make up our mind who we will follow God or Satan(Deuteronomy 1:39). The giants were “men of renown” as they were famous for their size, intelligence and abilities as they were superhuman. The giants are also known as Rephaim, Emim (Genesis 14:5), Anakim (Numbers 13:22;33), Horim, Zamzummim(Deuteronomy 2:10) and Avim (Deuteronomy 2:20-21). The giants are most likely the origin of the mythological Greek gods who grew out of the traditions and memories of these “men of renown“.
As the days of Noah had fallen angels, so will the Tribulation of Satan as Christ proclaimed. We can further document that in Revelation 12:9. “The great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
Satan’s angels are in fact the fallen angels. This time they will not leave Heaven by choice, they are cast out with Satan onto the earth by Michael (Revelation 12:7-9). Satan will then claim to be Jesus Christ while the fallen angels will claim to be the angels of Christ who have come to restore the Kingdom of God which is a flood of lies!
Please turn your Bible for a moment to the book of Daniel. There we can further document the fallen angels will be present on the earth during the Tribulation just as they were in the days of Noah. In Daniel 2, king Nebuchadnezzar has a dream that he does not understand. Daniel is shown the dream and the interpretation of it through God’s revealing, an event which belongs to the latter days (Daniel 2:28). We will now pick up this account in,
Daniel 2:42
42 “And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.”
This is Satan’s One World Beast Government, the final kingdom that will reign on the earth before the return of Christ (Revelation 13:1-2). Satan’s Beast Government will consist of ten kings (the ten toes of the feet), fallen angel kings (iron) and earthly kings (clay) all under the command of Satan (Revelation 17:12-13).
Daniel 2:43
43 “And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.”
“They”, the fallen angels (iron) will mix themselves with what? The seed of men (clay), which is their offspring, their children. We are talking about the fallen angels mixing with the daughters of men just as they did in the days of Noah which resulted in an offspring of giants (Nephilim). You better get set for it my friends; spiritually and mentally. Christ himself proclaimed the Tribulation will be as in the days of Noah.
Now let us turn back to the days of Noah,
Genesis 6:5
5 “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”
Is the world any different today?
Genesis 6:7
7 “And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.”
God will soon destroy this earth age, not by water as in the days of Noah, but by fire after the flood of Satan as 2 Peter 3:10 documents.
Genesis 6:8
8 “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.”
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord because He followed the commandments of God. We must follow that same example.
Genesis 6:9
9 “These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.”
The word “perfect” (Strong’s Concordance: 8549) is “without blemish”. Noah and his family had a perfect pedigree, meaning their blood line was pure as they did not intermix with the fallen angels.
Genesis 6:13
13 ”And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.”
God is saying the end of all flesh would occur if He did not do something to stop the spread of the giants in the earth, which was the main reason for the flood. The giants were unnatural beings. They were supernatural, half human, half angel beings. God could not allow the giants to continue to bring their knowledge of the past, their corrupt blood line and their evil ways on the earth as it would have destroyed all flesh.
We must make note, the word “earth” in this 13th verse (776) can mean, “the earth (at large, or partitively a land), common, country, earth, field, ground, land, nations, way, wilderness, world.” As you can see this word has several meanings and does not necessarily mean the whole earth. We need to “rightly divide the word of truth,” (2 Timothy 2:15). The flood of Noah did not literally encompass the entire earth, rather this was a local flood in order to wipe out the evil in the land, the abomination called giants. Just as Lot and his family were the only ones saved from the evil of Sodom, Noah and his family were the only ones saved from the evil of their land as they did not intermix with the fallen angels. It is not plausible to think Noah sailed the globe before the flood in order to collect every species of animal and insect, then bring them all back to his land and constructing the ark in order to preserve them from the flood. Nor is it Biblical when we “rightly divide” His Word.
Genesis 6:14
14 “Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.”
Did God build the ark? Absolutely not. God gave Noah the instruction and expected him to put in the work required to accomplish that task. Likewise we must take God’s Word, our compass, our guiding Light that safely navigates us on our journey through this dark world and follow the instructions in the scriptures in order to accomplish the tasks He has given us.
Genesis 6:17
17 “And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.”
We know from Christ’s Words in Matthew 24:39 the people of Noah’s time never saw the flood coming. Just like today, the people have no idea Satan’s flood of lies will soon be unleashed on the earth and sweep them away. Christ’s Words to the Pharisees are extremely relevant today, “ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times,” (Matthew 16:3)?
Genesis 6:18
18 “But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.”
Genesis 6:22
22 “Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.”
Noah listened to our Father’s instruction and built an ark to protect his family from his tribulation, the flood. Our Father has provided us with the same direction for our Tribulation. We are told in Revelation 13:17 those who refuse the Mark of the Beast, which is the deception of Satan, cannot buy or sell. Understanding that, we should prepare our households with items needed to sustain them.
While Noah’s ark was literal and made of wood, our ark is spiritual and comprised of the things that make up the oil in our lamps. Ultimately, we will take refuge from Satan’s flood inour fortress, our ark which is the protection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ(Psalms 91:1)!
Genesis 7:1
1 ”And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.”
Noah and his family found their protection from the flood by entering the ark through the door. We will find our protection from the flood of Satan by entering through The Doorwhich is Jesus Christ (John 10:9).
Genesis 7:4-5
4 “For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.”
5 “And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.”
Do not read over that. Why would Noah and his family make it safely through the flood? Because they listened to our Father in Heaven. They placed their faith, trust and hope in the Lord. Do you listen to Him? Do you love Him?
Genesis 7:7
7 “And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.”
Noah and his family were protected by God during their tribulation, they would safelypassover the destruction of the flood by entering through the door of the ark.
Another example of God’s protection can be found with Moses and the Israelites who were also protected by God during their tribulation. God caused Satan the destroyer to passoverthe Israelites homes as they entered and placed the blood of the passover lamb around their doors (Exodus 12:23).
Likewise, we too will be protected by God during The Tribulation. God will cause Satan’s flood of lies to passover us as we enter through The Door, Jesus Christ our Passover Lamb.
Genesis 7:11
11 “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.”
12 “And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.”
Noah’s tribulation started when the heavens were opened and the ensuing flood was unleashed upon the earth. Our Tribulation starts when the Heavens are opened and Satan and his fallen angels are cast out onto the earth bringing their flood of lies with them which will quickly encompass the world (Revelation 12:9).
Christ told us in Luke 21:25 “the sea and the waves roaring” would be one of the signs to look for prior to His return. The ‘sea and waves roaring’ are in fact the people of the earth where the whore sits, that whore is Satan’s One World Beast Government(Revelation 17:15). The people who make up the waters are those who have been swept away by Satan’s flood of lies. Those who accepted the Mark of the Beast ultimately believing that Satan is Christ and becoming the foundation which Satan’s Beast Government is built upon. Christ continues in Luke 21:26 by stating, “Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” The words “hearts” and “failing” in this verse mean “faint,” (674). Just as the people in Noah’s day undoubtedly fainted when they saw the increasing flood waters. The people of today will also faint when the heavens are shaken and they behold the supernatural ability of Satan and his fallen angels who are cast out.
As the rain in Noah’s day prevailed on the earth so will Satan’s flood which will be exceedingly strong during those first forty days. The waves which are the commotion of the people will start to calm and turn into a sea of glass as they unknowingly accept Satan as their messiah.
Satan’s system has no chance of prevailing as it is built on the waters which provide no solid foundation. While our Father and Christ are the temple which is built upon pillars and those pillars are the overcomers of the Tribulation (Revelation 21:22; 3:12).
Genesis 7:16
16 “And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.”
Do you think for one moment any man can open a door the Lord shuts? Christ, “hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth,”The Lord is our fortress, our end times ark (Psalms 144:2).
There is another side to this. Christ is our Door of salvation. That Door is open, but there will be a time at the wedding of Christ when that door will be shut (Matthew 25:10).
Genesis 7:17
17 “And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.”
We will stand above the flood of Satan if we listen to and accomplish our Father’s instructions just as Noah did. “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him,” (Isaiah 59:19).
The Lord will protect us from Satan’s flood of lies just as the woman is protected in the wildness from his flood (Revelation 12:15-16).
Genesis 7:18
18 “And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.”
The flood of Noah covered mountains, the waters were extremely deep, we can expect no less from Satan’s flood as well. We must keep our faith, trust, hope and focus on the Lord, if we do, we will stand above the water as Peter did (Matthew 14:25-31). We will effectivelyPassover Satan’s flood of lies.
Genesis 7:19
19 “And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.”
Satan’s flood will also prevail exceedingly on the earth, the whole world will be swept away by his flood of lies and deception. The whole world except for God’s Elect, those who understand the false messiah comes first. Those who ensure they have enough oil in their lamps. Those who understand we have “the living God” on our side who says, “I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.” Those who understand and believe our Father YHVH’s promise, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness,” (Isaiah 41:10).
Genesis 7:24
24 “And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.”
150 days, that is five months. Hold this thought for a moment, we will pick it up shortly.
Genesis 8:1
1 “And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;”
God did what? He sent the “wind” (7307) upon the earth, “wind” that is “ruach” in the Hebrew language also meaning “spirit“. God will also send His Holy Spirit on the earth during Satan’s flood of lies (Joel 2:28-32). This will shower the latter rain upon the Elect and the Two Witnesses who will be delivered up before Satan (Luke 21:12-18). This will effectively abate Satan’s flood of lies replacing them with God’s Flood of Truth.
Turn with me for a moment to,
Revelation 15:2
2 “And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.“
We talked about that sea of glass earlier, those people of the earth who were swept away by the flood of Satan. Those who became faint of heart as Christ described in Luke, those who marveled at Satan’s supernatural abilities believing him to be Christ. They are the sea of glass.
While the Elect and the Two Witnesses will convert many during the Tribulation by the testimony the Holy Spirit speaks through them. It is they, though Christ who not only rise above, but stand on that sea of glass. It is they who will sing the Song of Moses(Revelation 15:3), it is they who will Passover the flood of lies Satan and his angels will shower on the earth.
Now let us turn back to,
Genesis 8:2
2 “The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;”
God will never leave you or forsake you just as He did not forsake Noah and his family(Hebrews 13:5). Neither did God forget Moses and the Israelites. Rather, “He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him,”(Psalms 66:6). The Israelites made it through their flood as Noah did and we will as well. We must remember, “all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come,” (1 Corinthians 10:11). The accounts in the Bible are written for us, they are our examples of how the end times would be. How we would make it through our flood, our Tribulation just as our brothers of the past made it through their floods, their tribulations. They did so by placing their faith, trust and hope in the Lord, that is our example to follow.
Genesis 8:3
3 “And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.”
We are told in Daniel 12:10, “the wise shall understand” the times of the end. What has Christ told us concerning our Tribulation? In Matthew 24:22 He stated, “those days shall be shortened,” from the seven year Tribulation period, but He did not elaborate. Yet, Christ has‘foretold you all things,‘ so we know we can find the answer to our question if we seek out the scriptures with our Father’s help (Mark 13:23). If we read Revelation 9:4-5 we are told those with the seal of God in their forehead (Revelation 7:3-4) cannot be harmed by Satan or his fallen angels for a five month period. How many days is five months? 150 days. How long was the flood of Noah, his tribulation? 150 days. Christ has truly foretold us all things, “as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be,“(Matthew 24:37).
Genesis 8:4
4 “And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.”
Noah listened to the Lord and then acted upon the instruction our Father gave him. He constructed an ark to sustain him, his family and the animals aboard which saved them from the flood of their time. Noah’s obedience to the Lord is what guided him through the storm. The tribulation of Noah would finally come to an end when the ark came to rest upon a mountain of rock.
If we listen and then act upon the instruction in our Father’s Word, He will sustain and protect us from the flood of Satan. Our obedience to the Lord will ultimately shield us from Satan’s storm. We will Passover his flood of lies, we will stand above that sea of glass. Like Noah, our Tribulation will finally come to an end as well. That is the moment we will truly realize we never sailed upon Satan’s flood at all. We never set sail because we never left our Mountain, Our Rock, Jesus Christ our Eternal King who reins forever(1 Corinthians 10:4).
“The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”
“I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.” – Psalms 18:2-3

Building an arc is a good idea. We can pack it chock full ‘o freaks, and sink the thing in the middle of the Pacific.
I say build an Arc and pack it full of politicians, freaks and Joos and sink the thing in the middle of the Pacific.
Very interesting article and interpretation of the Bible and End times in relation to Noah. Although a lengthy read, it was well worth the insight. Good post.
“Genesis 6:8
8 “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.”
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord because He followed the commandments of God. We must follow that same example.”
Disagree.
God’s commandments were given to Moses long after Noah’s time. Noah was chosen by God BECAUSE he was “perfect in his generations”, his was the ONLY bloodline on the entire earth untainted by the Nephilim. Therefore, he was the ONLY possible choice. Otherwise, it would have negated His promise of the coming Messiah -“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Gen. 3:15 KJV. (since the man carries the seed, not the woman, this is an obvious reference to the virgin birth of Christ). And since God does not lie……
An interesting side note to this verse is the connection to the curse laid upon the tribe of Dan by Jacob (Israel). – “Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.” Gen.49:17 KJV. Some Bible scholars believe this to be a reference to the Antichrist, that he shall be descended from the tribe of Dan.
I agree with them.
Thank you for the comment. But I did not say the ten commandments. I said “commandments”. There were clearly commandments before the flood of Noah. These laws had not been written yet. Otherwise how could God punish those who were wicked in Noah’s time? What would wicked be if there was no law against it? How would Cain killing Abel be a sin if there was no law against it? So we must use some common sense and understand there were laws we were just not told what exactly they were until later. But they are written in the stars…
