FERGUSON, Mo. — Missouri Governor Jay Nixon early Monday ordered the National Guard into Ferguson hours after police said escalating violence led to shootings, arrests and “pre-planned” acts of aggression by protesters.

FERGUSON, Mo. — Michael Brown, the unarmed black teenager who was killed by a police officer, sparking protests around the nation, was shot at least six times, including twice in the head, a preliminary private autopsy performed on Sunday found.
One of the bullets entered the top of Mr. Brown’s skull, suggesting his head was bent forward when it struck him and caused a fatal injury, according to Dr. Michael M. Baden, the former chief medical examiner for the City of New York, who flew to Missouri on Sunday at the family’s request to conduct the separate autopsy. Anger spurred by the death of a black teenager at the hands of white police officer boiled over again early Saturday morning in Ferguson, Missouri, when protesters stormed into a convenience store — the same store that Michael Brown was accused of robbing.
Police and about 200 protesters began clashing late Friday after another tense day in the St. Louis suburb, a day that included authorities identifying the officer who fatally shot Brown on Aug. 9. At the same news conference in which officer Darren Wilson was named, Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson released documents alleging that Brown stole a $48.99 box of cigars from the convenience store, then strong-armed a man on his way out. The U.S. Energy Department has finalized a plan to revamp its process for approving liquefied natural gas exports, and as originally proposed the changes eliminate conditional approvals for LNG projects.
Beginning Thursday, the department will only issue final rulings on whether exports are in the public interest after the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, or another authorized agency, has completed an environmental review of the project. The governor of Missouri will reportedly relieve St. Louis County law enforcement from policing the ongoing demonstrations in the town of Ferguson, paving the way for possible state or federal intervention.
Rep Wm. Lacy Clay (D-Missouri told Bloomberg News on Thursday morning that Gov. Jay Nixon, also a Democrat, had confirmed to him that county police will be pulled from their duties in Ferguson, where outrage continues to erupt following the officer-involved shooting and killing of Michael Brown, an 18-year-old unarmed teenager, on Saturday. Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick has signed into law a measure giving police chiefs authority to turn down a resident’s requests to buy a rifle or shotgun if they believe the person may be a danger.
The measure broadens the authority of police, who were already allowed to deny sales of handguns to people who failed background checks. The new measure gives a police chief 90 days to petition a court to deny a firearms identification card to someone the chief believes to be unfit. President Barack Obama is loosening restrictions on lobbyists who want to serve on federal advisory boards, a White House official said on Tuesday, a setback to the president’s efforts to tamp down special interest influence in Washington.

Heavy rains that have soaked a large swath of the United States over the last several days have spawned flash floods from Arizona to New England, submerging vehicles in parking lots and trapping drivers in their cars.
Over a foot of rain fell on Long Island in New York on Wednesday, forcing the closure of parts of the Long Island Expressway, Southern State Parkway, Northern State Parkway, Jericho Turnpike and other roads. U.S. crude oil production averaged an estimated 8.5 million barrels per day in July, the highest level since April 1987, the Energy Information Administration said on Tuesday.
In its monthly short term energy outlook, the EIA also raised its crude production forecasts for this year to 8.5 million bpd from its previous estimate of 8.42 million bpd and for next year’s output to 9.3 million bpd from 9.27 million bpd previously. ABC 13 in Houston reports that a car accident that killed six people, including a family of four, was caused by a man who was believed to be in the country illegally.
Juan Garcia Ahuezoteco fled from the police at up to 100 miles per hour after he was pulled over for a traffic violation, and ran a stop sign, causing him to crash into a family of four. The family, Ahuezoteco, and his passenger were are all killed in the accident. “Ahuezoteco had an outstanding felony warrant for Driving While Intoxicated” according to ABC 13. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – One person was shot by police overnight, not far from the unrest that unfolded for the third night in Ferguson where last week’s shooting of an unarmed black teen sparked outrage.
Last night’s shooting happened just before 1 a.m. Wednesday at Chambers Road and Sheffingdell Court in unincorporated St. Louis County.

More than 600 illegal immigrants with criminal convictions were released by federal authorities in early 2013 in advance of the “sequester” budget cuts, according to a government watchdog report obtained by FoxNews.com.
The report by the Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General showed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement released “criminal aliens” from jails all over the country as part of a wave of releases in February 2013. The agency came under fire at the time for the decision, which critics described as politically motivated and dangerous. A ranch manager in Brooks Co., Texas, said he won’t eat wild hogs caught near the border because they are known to feed on dead illegal aliens.
Feral hogs roam miles of Texas badlands between Falfurrias and the Mexican border and they’ll eat human corpses if they come across them, and the manager of the 15,000-acre Los Compadres Ranch, Wyatt Hollek, periodically finds the remains of illegals who succumbed to the harsh South Texas terrain.
