Liberty Fight – by Martin Hill

Terry L. Sharkey is a man who can be described as a modern-day homesteader. He set up camp in the Cherokee National Forest in the Southern Appalachian Mountains of east Tennessee. Sharkey had planted a garden, pitched a tent, formed a bathtub made of rock, and flew a rebel flag. Unfortunately for him, the land he chose purportedly belongs to the federal government, and they won’t stand for the likes of Sharkey.

Sharkey was convicted in April of this year after being charged for the same thing. In that case, he represented himself, PRO SE in Case # 3:14-PO-031, United States of America vs Terry L. Sharkey.   Continue reading “Man flying confederate flag arrested for living in national forest”

With boots-on-the-ground heading to Liberia to help ‘manage’ the anarchic dystopia that a frightened nation has become, General David Rodriguez (Commander, US Africa Command) held a briefing today to explain US troops’ role:

  • QUESTION: Will they be in contact with individuals or just specimens?
  •  RODRIGUEZ: They come in contact with the individuals.

Author Naomi Wolf has been accused of being ‘disrespectful’ after suggesting footage of hostages being beheaded by ISIS militants isn’t real.

The 51-year-old American writer made a series of controversial statements questioning the authenticity of the footage in a number of messages on her Facebook page.

The initial post in which the feminist activist questions where the terror group are ‘getting all these folks from’ was deleted.

In another post, she also said that the Obama administration was sending troops to West Africa to confront the Ebola outbreak so they could return with the deadly infection – justifying a military takeover of Africa.     Continue reading “Author Naomi Wolf is condemned for suggesting ISIS hostages are ACTORS and be-headings aren’t real”

MONROVIA, Liberia — Amid the deadliest Ebola outbreak in history, it’s easier to get help if you are dead than if you are alive.

My producer and I were driving back from an assignment in Monrovia, where we filmed this morning’s “Good Morning America” segment, when we saw a burial team working along the roadway surrounded by crowds of angry locals.   Continue reading “Man Thought to Have Died From Ebola Awakens After Burial Team Wraps Him Up”

MSNBC is blaming the National Rifle Association (NRA) for Ebola’s arrival in the U.S., as well as for the fear of a greater outbreak that has followed.

According to MSNBC, the NRA made “the Ebola crisis worse” by opposing Dr. Vivek Murthy’s nomination to the position of Surgeon General in 2013.    Continue reading “MSNBC: The NRA Made ‘The Ebola Crisis Worse’”

Nature's Most Wicked-Looking Robot, the BacteriophageGizmodo – by Mark Wilson

I can’t lie; I’ve been waiting for an excuse to post a picture of a bacteriophage*, the microscopic spider virus that lands on bacteria to inject its own DNA, for a long time. This Cyborg Life gives me an excuse.

Rather than attacking typical plant or animal cells, the bacteriophage uses bacteria as its host for replication. Highly specialized, the bacteriophage lands on a specific part of a specific bacteria, and just like a syringe with legs, injects its genetic material (which is stored in that big bulb on top).   Continue reading “Nature’s Most Wicked-Looking Robot, the Bacteriophage”
