The United States is unique for its tradition of gun ownership, which often shocks foreigners and leaves them in a state of disbelief at how ubiquitous firearm ownership is. Moreover, the idea of people carrying firearms almost seems unreal to many. Indeed, gun ownership is as American as apple pie and will not go away so easily, much to the dismay of the most rabid of gun control proponents.
Just look at gun sales since the covid-19 pandemic lockdowns took place. In the first six months of 2020 alone, 10.3 million firearm transactions went through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). Joe Biden’s doctor on Sunday said that the president-elect had sustained a sprain of his right foot after twisting his ankle while playing with his dog, Major.
“Initial x-rays are reassuring that there is no obvious fracture and he will be getting an additional CT for more detailed imaging,” Dr. Kevin O’Connor said in a statement. “Follow-up CT scan confirmed hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden’s lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the mid-foot. Knoxville, TN — Bradley E. Easterly, 38, has a criminal past. His drug addiction — being treated by the police state instead of actual help — has led to his repeated incarceration over the last 15 years. Though many of his stints in jail were justified because of burglaries and theft, the last time he visited jail, it was once again for his substance abuse problem.
Instead of treatment for his addiction, however, Easterly was tortured and humiliated by police. The video below should serve as an instructional video for how the war on drugs is not only a brutal failure, but facilitates the horrific and inhumane treatment of our fellow humans. This summer, the US Justice Department has restarted the practice of federal executions after a 17-year hiatus. Since then, eight people have been put to death by federal authorities and new executions are being planned for the upcoming month.
The US Justice Department has amended execution protocols, allowing for federal inmates to be put to death using methods other than lethal injection, which could potentially include inhaling nitrogen gas, firing squads and even hangings. Four German holidaymakers who were illegally quarantined in Portugal after one was judged to be positive for Covid-19 have won their case, in a verdict that condemns the widely-used PCR test as being up to 97-percent unreliable.
Earlier this month, Portuguese judges upheld a decision from a lower court that found the forced quarantine of four holidaymakers to be unlawful. A tragedy unfolded for a family on Thanksgiving that started with an estranged father taking his one-year-old baby son and ended with that father and son shot. The father is currently in critical condition and the baby tragically died.
The incident began when officers were alerted about an alleged domestic dispute in Kawartha Lakes in Ontario. According to police, the dispute involved a firearm and the abduction of the one-year-old baby by his father. Health officials in Los Angeles County have declared a new “safer-at-home” order, clamping down its Covid-19 restrictions to ban most gatherings for a three-week period, but created exemptions for religious services and protests.
The new directive, which will take effect next week and stay in force until December 20, will prohibit all public and private gatherings involving people from different households and impose further occupancy limits on businesses, the county health department announced on Friday. The Pentagon is deploying a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf, CNN national security correspondent Barbara Starr reported Friday.
“The aircraft carrier USS Nimitz is being moved back into the Persian Gulf region along with other warships to provide combat support and air cover as US troops withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan by January 15 under President Trump’s orders a defense official tells CNN,” Starr reported.
