I gave up on Rolling Stone magazine decades ago at the start of the first Gulf War. They showed their true colors and who owned them. But this piece was sent to me today and how they’ve progressed in their insanity is astounding. Opening paragraph:

The article gets worse as it goes:
“The gun issue has been tied, since the nation’s inception, to white people’s problems with race. So when we see a white supremacist take arms against Americans or foreign nationals because they aren’t white, we have to treat it as a systemic problem rather than a shocking and surprising aberration.”
And the writer’s solution:
“I would suggest repealing and replacing the Second Amendment, born in and for slavery and desperately in need of an update.”
Never have I seen a twisting of history so distorted and so hell-bent on steering people away from the dignity of self-preservation and freedom. SHAME ON ROLLING STONE playin’ the race card!!!! May it sink in the mud and choke.

Thanks, Henry. Yes, high treason. That recommendation to repeal the 2nd Article got me thinking about the word “repeal” so I looked it up:
Repeal: revoke, put an end to the validity or operation of, cancel, reverse, annul, declare invalid, declare to have had no legal existence, make of no use or value, declare null and void, quash, put an end to, suppress, abolish, terminate, destroy.
Imagine having this intention for our Bill of Rights?!! And I wasn’t sure of the difference between treason and high treason, so I looked that up, too:
“A person who commits treason is known in law as a traitor. Treason against the king was known as high treason and treason against a lesser superior was petty treason.”
Maybe treason against The Bill of Rights should be call SUPERIOR TREASON for being a most egregious act.
